# Senior Cloud / DevOps Engineer (AWS)

We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud / DevOps Engineer (AWS) to strengthen the Cronos Europa team. The role is hands-on: operating Kubernetes in production, building and maintaining the Argo workflows that the scientists depend on, managing the AWS estate, and supporting the research users who run analytical and pipeline workloads on the platform. Location: Lisbon Office presence:Minimum 3 days per week on site Start: As soon as possible - at the latest early 2027 Duration: Long-term - likely up to two year s Responsabilities: Design, deploy and operate containerised workloads on Amazon EKS and Kubernetes. Maintain secure, reliable and up-to-date Kubernetes clusters in production. Build and maintain workflow orchestration using Argo Workflows. Ensure research pipelines are reliable, observable and easy to rerun. Manage AWS compute, storage and database services, including EC2, S3, FSx, EFS, RDS and ECR. Implement event-driven and serverless solutions using Lambda, EventBridge, SQS and SNS. Apply IAM and AWS security best practices across the environment.
