Full-Stack Java Developers to strengthen the Cronos Europa team and contribute to long-term software development projects for one of our international clients.\nWe are considering both onshore candidates based in Belgium and nearshore professionals based in Europe.\nThis is a medior/senior-level opportunity for developers who enjoy building reliable, scalable enterprise applications, working with modern technologies and contributing to the full software development lifecycle.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.\nDevelop modern, responsive frontend applications using Angular or React.\nDesign, implement and maintain REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.\nContribute to software architecture decisions, including microservices and distributed systems.\nWrite clean, maintainable and well-tested code, following software engineering best practices.\nParticipate in code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines, application deployments and continuous improvement initiatives.\nCollaborate closely with business analysts, architects, testers, product owners and other developers.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions and continuous delivery activities.\nSupport the maintenance and modernisation of existing applications while contributing to new developments.\nTechnical skills:\nJava: Strong professional experience with Java, preferably Java 17 or higher.\nBackend: Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate and microservices.\nFrontend: Professional experience with Angular or React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.\nDatabases: Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or equivalent.\nCloud: Experience with Microsoft Azure is a strong advantage.\nDevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker and Kubernetes.\nTesting: Experience with unit testing, integration testing and automated testing frameworks.\nArchitecture: Understanding of modern software architecture, design patterns and clean-code principles.\nMethodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nProfile:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nMinimum 5 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Java.\nProven experience in both backend and frontend development.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international development team.\nStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to code quality.\nExperience developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications.\nFluent English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.\nFrench is an advantage but not required.\nProactive attitude, ownership and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.\nWorking arrangements:\nWe are recruiting for both onshore and nearshore collaboration models.\nOnshore - Belgium\nCandidates must be based in Belgium and have valid authorisation to work in the country.\nHybrid working arrangement, requiring approximately 50% on-site presence in Brussels.\nPermanent employment or B2B/freelance arrangements may be considered.\nNearshore - Europe\nCandidates must be based in Europe.\nPrimarily remote working arrangement.\nApproximately 30 working days per year on-site in Brussels, typically organised as five consecutive working days every two months.\nFlexibility in scheduling on-site visits, subject to project requirements.\nContract arrangements depend on the candidate's country of
