Web & Cloud Operations Engineer to strengthen the Cronos Europa team and contribute to long-term IT operations projects for one of our international clients.\nWe are considering nearshore professionals based in Europe, working primarily remotely with periodic on-site presence in Brussels, Belgium.\nThis is a medior-level opportunity for engineers who enjoy managing web infrastructure and cloud environments, working with Microsoft Azure and automation technologies, and ensuring the reliability, security and performance of enterprise web platforms.\nResponsibilities:\nDeploy, configure, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise web applications and supporting infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud.\nProvide second- and third-line technical support, resolving incidents, service requests and production issues.\nInvestigate recurring technical problems, perform root-cause analysis and implement effective solutions.\nManage web and application servers, including Apache HTTP Server and Apache Tomcat.\nSupport cloud-hosted applications using Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure App Service and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and automated deployment processes.\nImplement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or equivalent technologies.\nMonitor application performance, availability and security using Grafana, Azure Monitor or comparable tools.\nContribute to cloud resource optimisation, including monitoring consumption and implementing cost-efficiency improvements.\nManage SSL/TLS certificates, application security configurations, access controls and patching activities.\nPerform Linux administration tasks and automate operational processes using Bash or PowerShell.\nCollaborate closely with infrastructure, networking, security, development and database teams.\nMaintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, troubleshooting guides and operational runbooks.\nTechnical skills:\nCloud: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure App Service, AKS and cloud-based web hosting.\nWeb Infrastructure: Professional experience configuring and maintaining Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat or equivalent web and application servers, including reverse proxies and TLS.\nContainers: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or comparable container technologies.\nInfrastructure as Code: Practical experience with Terraform or equivalent tools, including state management and automated deployments.\nCI/CD: Experience building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps and YAML pipelines.\nMonitoring: Experience with Grafana, Azure Monitor or equivalent monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.\nOperating Systems: Linux administration experience, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux or equivalent.\nScripting: Experience with Bash, PowerShell or similar scripting technologies.\nNetworking: Good understanding of DNS, TLS/SSL, reverse proxies, firewalls, load balancing and Azure networking.\nIT Service Management: Experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tools, incident management and production support.\nDatabases: Knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, database connectivity and basic administration is an advantage.\nAdditional technologies: Familiarity with Ansible, Azure Cost Management, Microsoft Entra ID, Nginx, Web Application Firewalls or Windows Server is a plus.\nProfile:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nMinimum 3 years of professional experience supporting and operating web solutions in production environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.\nProven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and web application hosting.\nExperience configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting production web platforms.\nGood understanding of infrastructure automation, cloud networking, web security and CI/CD practices.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international technical team.\nStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to operational reliability and performance.\nInterest in cloud optimisation, automation and continuous improvement.\nFluent English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.\nFrench is an advantage but not required.\nProactive attitude, ownership and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.\nMicrosoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.\nWorking arrangements:\nWe are recruiting for a nearshore collaboration model.\nNearshore - Europe\nCandidates must be based in Europe.\nPrimarily remote working arrangement.\nApproximately 30 working days per year on-site in Brussels, typically organised as five consecutive working days every two months.\nFlexibility in
