This role is responsible for assisting in the maintenance, monitoring, and support of servers, networks, cloud services, and enterprise applications.\nThe ideal candidate possesses a solid foundational understanding of Windows Server, Linux, networking fundamentals, Microsoft 365 administration, and cloud platforms, coupled with a strong eagerness to learn and grow. They demonstrate a proactive attitude toward problem-solving, maintain attention to detail, and collaborate effectively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.\nIn addition to operational support responsibilities, this role participates in project-based work through sprint planning and backlog initiatives, contributing to infrastructure maintenance, network operations, automation efforts, platform improvements, and continuous service enhancements under the guidance of senior team members.\nKey Responsibilities:\nInfrastructure & Network Support\nAdminister and maintain Windows and Linux server environments\nMonitor system/network health and respond to alerts\nSupport server provisioning, patching, backup, and disaster recovery\nTroubleshoot networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, wireless)\nAssist with cloud networking (VPC, subnets, route tables, gateways)\nSupport hybrid connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments\nSystems Administration\nWindows Server (2019+), Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)\nActive Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)\nVirtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)\nManage user provisioning, access requests, and endpoint security\nCustomer Service & Documentation\nProvide professional, responsive support to internal users\nMaintain thorough ticket documentation and knowledge base articles\nDocument system configurations, network diagrams, and change records\nProject & Continuous Improvement\nParticipate in Agile sprint planning and backlog activities\nContribute to automation and process improvement efforts\nRequired Qualifications:\n2+ years in systems administration, networking, or related role\nKnowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy\nSolid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, VLANs, firewalls)\nFoundational cloud systems and networking knowledge\nFamiliarity with Microsoft 365\nStrong communication, attention to detail, and customer service mindset\nPhysical requirement: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAWS, CompTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications\nExperience with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python)\nFamiliarity with virtualization, backup solutions, and ITIL frameworks\nExperience in regulated financial services environments\nExperience with supporting Connect Direct or MQ systems\nSuccess Metrics:\nHigh customer satisfaction and quality ticket documentation\nRoot cause identification and reduction of recurring issues\nSprint commitments met without impacting operations\nKnowledge sharing that improves team efficiency\n#LI-AC1 #LI-Hybrid #LI-Onsite\nSalary Range: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00\nCross River is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
