The future of cybersecurity starts with you.\nAbout the Role:\nAre you an infrastructure engineer with a passion for virtualization, automation, and cloud platforms? As an Infrastructure Engineer on CrowdStrike's TechOps CICD team, you'll take ownership of IaaS platforms and virtualization environments that power our software factory. You'll lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives, drive configuration management practices, and build automation workflows that keep our developer environments running at scale - with a deep focus on KVM-based on-premises infrastructure and cloud operations.\nWhat You'll Do:\nDeploy and operate virtualized infrastructure using QEMU/KVM, VMware vCenter, and OpenStack. \nLead IaC automation efforts using Terraform, Packer, and Ansible. \nCoordinate with datacenter teams to rack, stack, cable, and bring up physical servers and Top-of-Rack (ToR) switches. \nManage bare-metal hardware provisioning, initial boot configurations, and physical infrastructure lifecycle processes. \nDrive and own workstreams within the team's migration from VMware to a KVM-based private cloud model. \nDesign and implement automation and tooling to improve infrastructure reliability and developer experience. \nEnsure proper monitoring, maintenance, and resilience of R&D environments. \nPerform root-cause analysis on incidents and drive resolution. \nParticipate in the team on-call rotation. Document processes and procedures; perform code reviews for IaC and scripts.\nWhat You'll Need:\n5+ years of experience in an infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud engineering role. \nMust be able to participate in an on-call rotation. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills. \nAbility to work effectively across a distributed, cross-functional team. \nMeticulous attention to detail and sound decision-making in a fast-paced environment. \nSecurity mindset with a general understanding of cybersecurity principles. \nHands-on experience with physical datacenter operations, server out-of-band management (IPMI, iDRAC, iLO, Redfish), and basic Top-of-Rack (ToR) switch provisioning (VLANs, L2/L3 networking, trunking). \nExpertise with hypervisor platforms-QEMU/KVM strongly preferred for on-premises workloads; VMware or Xen experience also applicable. \nProficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and tooling. Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. \nExpertise working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
