Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs

This Senior Director, Engineering role sits at the intersection of two defining SaaS trends in security: cloud-delivered SIEM modernization and AI-native operations. The listing points to a platform that ingests and searches massive volumes of security telemetry and unifies investigation workflows across first and third-party data sources, a hallmark of mature SaaS products that must deliver reliability and speed at enterprise scale.

For SaaS engineering leaders, the career upside is exposure to the operating system of a large subscription platform: multi-team execution, KPI-driven engineering effectiveness, and architectural decisions that directly influence availability, cost, and customer outcomes. The emphasis on distributed systems, hybrid cloud considerations, and LLM-native feature delivery reflects competencies that translate across modern SaaS categories, especially where data intensity and trust requirements shape product strategy.

This role best fits an experienced engineering executive who prefers setting direction through clear metrics, resilient delivery practices, and strong cross-functional alignment with Product and Security. It will appeal to leaders motivated by scaling org design and technical standards while staying close to platform-level problem solving, rather than focusing narrowly on a single application area.

CrowdStrike was founded in 2011 to fix a fundamental problem: The sophisticated attacks that were forcing the world’s leading businesses into the headlines could not be solved with existing malware-based defenses. Founder George Kurtz realized that a brand new approach was needed - one that combines the most advanced endpoint protection with expert intelligence to pinpoint the adversaries perpetrating the attacks, not just the malware. There’s much more to the story of how Falcon has redefined endpoint protection but there’s only one thing to remember about CrowdStrike: We stop breaches.
