The Falcon endpoint agent is able to react in near-real-time to changes in the threat landscape, and underpinning this is the ability of the endpoint agent to quickly query our cloud for new information. This system operates within tight latency and response time constraints at a scale matched by few other environments, and the scale is only growing. CrowdStrike is seeking a Software Developer in Test for our Cloud Detections Platform team, which is tasked with building CrowdStrike’s next generation detection platform. In this capacity, you will be in charge of developing and operating the team's CI/CD pipeline, making sure our solutions work, and raising the alarm when they suddenly don’t. You’ll be building out an end-to-end validation pipeline, largely from scratch, leveraging existing frameworks and tooling where possible, but able to color outside the lines when necessary.\nYou’ll work in an environment where quality is the company culture. Work on: verifying key features and functionality that spans our processing, data and customer facing application layers to ensure it’s able to support low-latency prevention of malware, manage tens of thousands of events per second, query across terabytes of data and support the team in delivering quality code, tested to perfection.\nWhat You'll Do:\nBoth build stuff and break stuff!\n\nVerify component, system integration and application level features and functionality to ensure our reliability, accuracy and performance reaches our standards for quality.\n\nParticipate in code and design reviews and provide technical guidance and feedback to team members.\n\nReview engineering technical design documents and requirements. Provide guidance and strategy about how and where to build in testability.\n\nEngage in continuous improvement of our end-to-end test and validation processes.\n\nIncrease and improve our automated test coverage, and contribute to existing tools, frameworks and related solutions.\n\nLeverage new open source solutions to build new tools that test things in new ways.\n\nImprove our delivered product quality across our entire platform and applications.\n\nCollaborate on determining root causes of production outages and adding quality improvements to prevent outages in the future.\n\nCrowdstrike is a remote-friendly company, but we do get together from time to time. Some travel will be required for in-person meetings.\n\nBuild and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Github actions or similar tools.\n\nWhat You'll Need:\n10 + years of experience as an SDET or Backend Developer (combined)\n\n4-5 + years building testing frameworks and tooling for a Cloud SaaS product\n\nStrong debugging skills: ability to spot design flaws, race conditions and performance bottlenecks in complex architectures.\n\nA computer science background or equivalent experience (programming styles, data structures, algorithms, etc.)\n\nExperience in building, validating, and/or maintaining large distributed systems at scale.\n\nSolid design and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance, coupled with a desire to ship elegant solutions to complex problems.\n\nStrong cross-group collaboration and interpersonal communication skills working across engineering organizations.\n\nExperience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, Elastic Search, Python, and/or similar technologies.
