You retain a combination of functional knowledge and execution skills in leveraging SQL, SSAS, PySpark, Power BI, Tabular Editor, Microsoft Fabric, and other Microsoft BI stack products. Accounting or Finance background a huge plus. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Business Intelligence processes and technologies, as well as experience with a variety of data sources, modeling techniques, and advanced visualizations. We prefer candidates with a strong client facing, consulting background and business accounting/finance acumen.\nAdditionally, you have strong critical thinking and analytical skills with a proven track record in executing solutions from planning to delivery. 2:00AM IST (7:30AM - 4:30PM ET)\nPerform duties related to business analysis, such as scoping, documentation, project management, and related activities to establish an engagement blueprint\nInterface and communicate with subject matter experts of varied backgrounds to adequately assess business intelligence requirements and execution strategy\nRapidly develop diverse POCs from various data sources and systems\nClean, transform, and blend large and disparate data sources while leveraging SQL EDW, M, and DAX best practices\nLeverage Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit, and DAX Studio to quickly and efficiently perform model operations across complex deliverables\nPerform ad-hoc data discovery using tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Excel\nCreate visually stunning and salient reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau (additional tools a major plus)\nDeploy, provision, and manage Power BI workspaces and deliverables\nPossess effective writing and communication skills for audiences of diverse business and technical backgrounds\nWork with data engineers and other stakeholders to define data requirements\nBalance multiple projects with attention to detail while meeting deadlines\nContinuously improve processes with advancements in the MS BI platform\nQualifications\nMaster's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline).\n8+ years of experience in a data analyst, developer, architect, or similar position\n7+ years of advanced experience with DAX, M, SQL, and Power BI\n5+ years of experience in creating dashboards and deploying to clients\n3+ years of experience in Power BI Service delivery and Admin role and responsibility\n1.5+ years of experience in leveraging ETL SaaS tools (Talent, Stitch, Hevo, etc.,) or ADF Integration\nExpert knowledge of creating and optimizing dimensional models\nStrong leadership, team management, and communication skills.\nAbility to mentor and train junior ETL developers\nSolid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment\nExpert skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, strong skills in PowerPoint\nStrong track record of developing high-quality models on-premise and/or in the cloud\nExcellent client-facing and internal communication skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nEffectively managing multiple deliverables, clients, and projects in a fast-paced environment\nKnowledge of programming languages like SQL, Python, R, or Java.\nFamiliarity with data governance, data security, and compliance.\nSolid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment\nTechnical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in enterprise solutions for different industries\nHigh-level knowledge of BI architecture or data warehousing\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nEffectively managing multiple deliverables, clients and projects in a fast-paced environment\nStrong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.\nCertifications (Preferred)\nCertifications in BI (ETL tools, visualization tools, cloud architectures) are expected\nCertifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), or related data analytics certifications are a plus.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience working in or consulting for financial services clients is highly desirable.\nPrevious consulting experience or experience working with external clients\nProficiency in analytics and statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).\nExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and big data technologies.\nFamiliarity with machine learning frameworks and cloud-based data platforms is advantageous\nExperience working on projects using agile development practices\nAzure experience: building landing zones, provisioning resources, establishing security is a big plus\nKey Stakeholders This Role Interacts With\nInternal\nSenior BI Analyst\nData Product Manager\nBI Architect / Senior Architect\nData Engineers\nAnalytics Developers (Power BI, Tableau)\nExternal\nC-Suite Executives (CEO, CFO, CIO, etc.)\nClients Operations Leads and Mid-Level Managers\nData Owners, Data Stewards\nEnterprise Information Management and Data Governance Team\nIT Staff -
