This hands-on role will focus on developing enterprise applications, automating business processes, integrating external systems, and delivering high-quality solutions that enable clients to maximize the value of the Now Platform. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with consulting skills and enjoys solving complex business challenges through innovative platform development.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, configure, and maintain scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform using platform development best practices.\nDevelop custom applications, workflows, integrations, and reusable components leveraging JavaScript, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and other platform capabilities.\nConfigure and extend ServiceNow applications, including but not limited to ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, SPM, IRM, and custom applications based on client requirements.\nDevelop and maintain REST and SOAP integrations with internal and third-party enterprise systems.\nDesign and optimize Service Catalog offerings, workflows, record producers, and self-service experiences using Employee Center, Service Portal, and UI Builder.\nBuild and support Workspace experiences, Next Experience components, and mobile capabilities.\nDesign and maintain data models, CMDB structures, and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) relationships where applicable.\nImplement platform security using ACLs, application scoping, roles, and security best practices.\nCollaborate with solution architects and technical leads to develop scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-friendly platform solutions.\nTranslate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans using Agile methodologies.\nPerform code reviews, troubleshoot complex platform issues, optimize performance, and support testing and deployment activities.\nUtilize source control, update set management, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices to support application lifecycle management.\nLead technical discussions, client workshops, and design sessions while providing guidance on ServiceNow platform capabilities and best practices.\nProduce clear technical documentation, development standards, and implementation artifacts.\nMentor junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and coding standards.\nBasic Qualifications\n5+ years of professional software development or platform engineering experience, hands-on ServiceNow development experience.\nExperience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform.\nStrong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, platform capabilities, and application development best practices.\nExperience working within Agile delivery methodologies.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and consulting skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.\nBachelor’s degree\nCertification in ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong JavaScript development skills and proficiency with ServiceNow scripting APIs and development frameworks.\nExperience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, App Engine Studio, Service Portal, UI Builder, and Workspace development.\nCertifications in any of the following:ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)\nOne or more ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, SPM, IRM, or other product areas)\nITIL Foundation Certification\n\nExperience building and supporting REST/SOAP integrations and API-based solutions.\nKnowledge of platform security, application scoping, ACLs, and governance best practices.\nExperience with CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, or Service Mapping is preferred.\nFamiliarity with source control, Git, update sets, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.\nUnderstanding of ITIL concepts and enterprise service management processes.\nExperience developing across multiple ServiceNow product areas is highly desirable.\nAbility to lead technical solution design while mentoring other developers.\nWe expect the candidate to uphold Crowe’s values of Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship.
