Reporting to the NSW Service Manager, you will take full ownership of workshop performance - driving productivity, cost control, quality outcomes, and team leadership.\nThis is a pivotal leadership role responsible for delivering operational excellence across Service, Rentals, Refurbishment, and Import functions, while ensuring a strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nLead end-to-end workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.\nManage labour recovery, productivity, and performance against budget targets.\nOversee workshop output quality and ensure KPI achievement across all functions.\nDrive cost control across overheads and indirect expenses.\nManage the quoting function, ensuring accuracy and strong commercial outcomes.\nMonitor actual vs quoted performance and provide recommendations.\nOversee parts control, stock levels, and workshop processes.\nLead performance management, training, and development of workshop staff.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives and best practice processes.\nPartner with Engineering to resolve technical issues and improve outcomes.\nManage industrial relations matters, including union engagement and EBA considerations.\nDeliver accurate reporting on financials, productivity, and operational performance.\nChampion a strong safety-first culture and ensure full WHS Compliance.\nSkills & Experience\nProven leadership experience in a workshop / service environment (industrial, automotive, or capital equipment preferred).\nStrong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs and profitability.\nDemonstrated ability to drive productivity and exceed performance targets.\nExperience managing quoting functions and interpreting financial/operational data.\nSolid understanding of workshop operations, resourcing, and job flow.\nExperience in a unionised environment and exposure to EBA frameworks.\nStrong people leadership skills with experience managing large, hands-on teams.\nTechnical/mechanical knowledge within a service-based environment.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.\nBenefits\nWhat sets us apart?\nCrown’s history began when two brothers founded the Company in New Bremen, Ohio (USA) in 1945.
