delivery.\nThe Shift Manager plays a key role in driving operational excellence, maintaining high safety standards, improving performance, and developing production teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction Leadership\nTake responsibility for day-to-day shift operations, production performance, and decision-making.\nEnsure production plans are executed effectively while meeting safety, quality, efficiency, and cost targets.\nMonitor line performance against key business objectives, including spoilage, productivity, efficiency, and operating costs.\nEnsure effective shift handovers and communication between production teams.\nMaximize the efficient utilization of equipment, materials, and resources.\nOperational Excellence\nDevelop and improve production processes, procedures, and equipment performance.\nSupport equipment changeovers, set-ups, and process optimization activities.\nEnsure effective maintenance and lubrication practices are followed.\nMaintain high housekeeping standards throughout the production area.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance and reduce waste.\nQuality & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with ISO standards and quality management systems.\nSupport quality improvement programs and deliver KPI targets.\nInvestigate customer complaints and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.\nEnsure compliance with HACCP and BRCGS Packaging Materials standards and procedures.\nPromote a culture of quality and customer focus throughout the team.\nTeam Leadership & People Management\nLead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve operational objectives.\nCommunicate production priorities, changes, and operational updates effectively.\nConduct regular team briefings and shift meetings.\nEnsure employees perform their duties according to established standards and expectations.\nManage shift staffing levels, overtime planning, and workforce allocation.\nCoordinate holiday schedules and planned absences while maintaining operational coverage.\nSupport employee development through training plans, coaching, and performance management.\nConduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.\nSafety\nLead by example in promoting safe working practices.\nEnsure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.\nTake immediate action to address unsafe conditions and behaviours.\nFoster a strong safety culture across the production team.\nQualifications & Experience\nRequired\nTechnical education (Secondary School or University degree preferred).\nPrevious experience in manufacturing, production supervision, or shift leadership.\nStrong understanding of production processes and operational excellence principles.\nComputer literacy and experience with production reporting systems.\nAbility to analyse performance data and make informed decisions.\nExperience leading and motivating teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPersonal Competencies\nStrong leadership and decision-making skills.\nExcellent communication and
