Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division.\nLocation:\nSugar Land, Texas.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW:\nAs a key leader of our manufacturing facility, the EHS Coordinator will be responsible for managing, and coordinating all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities in the plant to proactively drive programs and create a culture to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all of our employees. In addition, this position will work closely with the Corporate Environmental Health and Safety department to understand the true cost of Safety in Crown Americas and achieve a World Class level at the facility.\nSafety is our top priority at Crown. The EH&S Coordinator is the Safety Champion for the facility responsible for driving the safety culture throughout the plant. This highly visible role will have daily interaction with all employees and be a presence on the manufacturing floor.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThis position’s responsibilities will also include but not be limited to the following:\nEnsure facility conformance with all applicable federal, state, local and corporate environmental, health and safety laws, regulations, policies and guidelines as well as maintaining appropriate documentation.\nEnsure that all employee training is completed, documented and maintained in regard to regulatory requirements\nMonitor follow-ups and corrective action resulting from all corporate and plant environmental, health and safety audits\nEnsure all key managers are certified in Level I, II and III compliance training\nDevelop and deliver safety training programs for at the plant.\nManage “Safe Start Program” focused on Human Factors throughout the Plant\nProvide safety training to all new employees as part of our onboarding program\nDetailed Injury root cause analysis and incident reporting\nContingency and emergency preparedness planning\nPollution prevention and waste minimization\nHazardous waste, air programs, water programs and community Right to Know\nEvacuation and emergency take cover drills\nProviding data required for all aspects of SARA Title III reporting including Tier II and Form R reports\nTitle V Air Emission reporting, contingency plan, chemical exposure\nHazard communication\nNoise exposure and audiometric management\nControl of hazardous energy\nPerform all other duties as required or assigned\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nIn addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline required\n3-5 years in an environmental, health and safety role\nExperience in a manufacturing environment\nWorking knowledge of all local, state and federal laws and regulations\nAbility to work any shift and extended hours to support employees on all shifts\nProficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various environmental software programs\nPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS\nProfessional EHS certifications\nCOMPETENCIES\nEffective communications skills, both verbal and written are essential\nEffective presentations and training skills.\nThis position will deal with internal and external customers at a variety of levels and the ideal candidate must have the ability to deal with all these contacts professionally and effectively.\nDetail-oriented,\nProven leader and a self-starter\nMust be equally comfortable working both in a team environment as well as working independently\nMust be a change agent and possess a sense of urgency in work habits\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\nThe associate may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nGenerally works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic\nThe associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures\nThe noise level is frequently loud\nWhat Crown Offers You\nStrong engagement and commitment to the safety of our employees\n\nThe opportunity to build a meaningful career\n\nProfessional and personal development through training and work experiences\n\nJoin us and become part of a team of professionals who are passionate about sustainable packaging!\nWorking Together Working Together is one of the five pillars that make up our Twentyby30™ program.
