Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts.\nHere at the Olympia Plant, we currently manufacture 12 oz. beverage cans.\nPrimary Functions\nThis entry-level position in our Production Department and will be responsible for:\nGeneral labor duties such as housekeeping, sorting cans and rework products\nMay perform product repair as requested\nThis person will have responsibility for safety in all areas of the assigned duties\nSALARY: Union contract wage is $29.18/hr\nBenefits: T his is a union position and includes a pension.\nAs a new employee, you become eligible for benefits under the Plan the 1st of the month following one full month of employment and must enroll within 30 days of your eligibility date to have coverage for the remainder of the current Plan year (January 1 through December 31). Medical, dental, vision, prescription and 401k. *Actual salary will be determined based on skill and experience level*\nJob Requirements:\nMinimum 18 years old\nMinimum 6 months’ work experience in a manufacturing company is highly desirable\nMechanical experiences working in a manufacturing setting or familiarity with power and hand tools are preferred\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds\nMust possess basic math skills\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl\nThe associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus\nMust be able to stand for long periods as well as work on elevated stationary platforms and withstand extreme climate changes especially during summer and winter months\nDemonstrated strong attention to detail, good record keeping and precision abilities is highly desirable\nAbility to work under time pressures and flexibility to adjust to sudden work patterns or schedules\nAbility to work independently and with teams and must have good interpersonal skills\nMust be able to work 12-hour shifts, evenings (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.), weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.\nCrown is an equal opportunity employer.
