Do you thrive in solving complex problems and creating innovative solutions?\n\nKey Roles and Responsibilities\n\nStay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.\nOptimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.\nMaintain and improve database structures (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to improving development workflows.\nCollaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other engineers to create seamless user experiences.\nWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.\nDevelop, test, and maintain PHP-based web applications.\nParticipate in the company’s learning, development and mentorship programs\nEnsure security and data protection in all applications.\nDesign and implement APIs and integrate third-party services.\n\nExperience and Qualifications\n\nKnowledge of Java will be an added advantage\nMinimum of 6 plus years’ proven work experience as a PHP software engineer\nFirst Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical skills required for this role\nExperience with Power Sector Applications will be an added advantage\n\nRequired Skills and Competencies:\n\nFamiliarity SAAS Application deployment\nStrong knowledge of PHP 7+ and OOP (Object-Oriented Programming):\n Linux\nLaravel\nYii2\nYii1\n\nExperience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.\nUnderstanding of security best practices and performance optimization.\nEnterprise platforms\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment\noptimization.\nAbility to lead a team and mentor junior engineers.\nExperience building workflow application system\nFamiliarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular is a plus).\nDatabase Design\nExperience with MVC frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.\nExperience with Agile development methodologies is a plus\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\nKnowledge of API development and integrations (RESTful, SOAP).\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical
