In this hands-on role, you’ll help keep daily operations running smoothly by verifying incoming shipments, checking materials for accuracy, labeling inventory, and ensuring products are properly documented and ready for storage. You’ll work closely with forklift operators and warehouse team members to maintain accurate inventory records, identify shipment discrepancies, and keep the receiving area organized and efficient. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-minded, and enjoys working as part of a team where accuracy and attention to detail make a difference.\n\nResponsibilities\nVerify incoming materials against packing documentation to ensure accurate quantities and product information.\nAssist with the receiving and unloading process to ensure incoming shipments are handled properly.\nApply inbound shipment tags to individual pallets, racks, and containers for accurate identification and traceability.\nPlace batch tags on materials once receipts have been processed in SAP.\nInspect incoming shipments for visible damage and promptly report concerns involving products, trailers, or warehouse equipment.\nIdentify, document, and communicate shipment shortages or overages to the appropriate team lead or supervisor.\nClearly mark shipments with discrepancies using established identification procedures.\nRecord and communicate the physical storage locations of incoming raw materials.\nFollow established receiving procedures for indoor and applicable outside storage areas.\nWork alongside forklift (Hi-Lo) operators to ensure materials are properly identified, staged, and moved to designated locations.\nMaintain accurate receiving documentation and follow company inventory control procedures.\nSupport department 5S standards by keeping receiving docks and work areas clean, safe, and organized.\nCommunicate effectively with warehouse team members and supervisors to resolve receiving issues.\nFollow all company safety procedures and warehouse operating guidelines.\nPerform other duties as assigned \n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.\nPrevious Hi-Lo/Forklift operator's license or certification.\nUnderstanding of warehouse shipping and receiving procedures, including outside storage operations.\nStrong attention to detail when verifying quantities, labels, and shipment documentation.\nGood organizational and problem-solving skills.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nDependable attendance and a strong work ethic.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious warehouse receiving, shipping, or inventory experience.\nFamiliarity with SAP or similar warehouse inventory systems.\nExperience verifying inbound shipments, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining inventory traceability.\nKnowledge of warehouse 5S organization and safety
