Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role manages domestic and international shipments from purchase order release through final delivery and receipt.\nThe Logistics Manager will work across suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, Purchasing, Inventory Planning, Warehouse Operations, Accounting, and other internal teams to improve shipment visibility, control freight costs, resolve exceptions, and support reliable product availability.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage inbound orders end-to-end.\nMaintain accurate purchase order, shipment, delivery, and tracking information\nSelect transportation modes and routes.\nConsolidate freight and negotiate competitive rates and service levels with carriers, forwarders, and brokers.\nCoordinate customs clearance, duties, tariffs, import documentation, HTSUS classification, and compliance requirements.\nEstablish clear routing, documentation, communication, and escalation expectations.\nIdentify and resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, claims, receiving issues, and freight-invoice errors.\nMonitor logistics performance.\nDevelop contingency plans for transportation disruptions, port delays, customs holds, capacity shortages, and other supply-chain risks.\nStandardize and improve logistics processes.\nLead and develop assigned logistics staff.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nShipments are delivered on time.\nFreight costs are controlled.\nERP and shipment-tracking data are accurate, current, and trusted.\nCustoms and import requirements are managed accurately and proactively.\nShipment risks and exceptions are identified early and resolved promptly.\nSuppliers and logistics providers meet clear expectations.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\n10 years minimum progressive experience in inbound transportation, freight, logistics, or supply-chain operations.\nExperience coordinating domestic and international transportation, including ocean, air, truckload, less-than-truckload, parcel, and intermodal services.\nWorking knowledge of customs brokerage, import documentation, duties, tariffs, HTSUS classification and Incoterms. Experience with the CTPAT program.
