The role will ensure Crunchyroll’s anime content is accessible, culturally relevant, accurate, timely, and consistent with global brand and editorial standards across the region.\nYou will manage localization and dubbing workflows from prioritization and commissioning through production, review, quality assurance, launch, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with Content, Marketing, Product, Partnerships, Creative Services, Communications, Legal, Customer Experience, Data, and external localization and dubbing partners.\nThis role requires strong cultural judgment, operational discipline, vendor management, and the ability to balance fan expectations, creative quality, launch timelines, and business priorities across a diverse, multi-market region.\nRole Overview\n Lead Regional Localization and Dubbing\nDevelop and execute localization and dubbing plans across priority markets aligned with content priorities, market demand, launch schedules, and business objectives.\nLead the planning and delivery of local-language dubbing for priority titles and markets.\nCoordinate dubbing workflows from language and market prioritization through casting, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, delivery, and launch.\nPartner with Content and regional stakeholders to identify titles, languages, release priorities, and localization requirements.\nEnsure localized content supports regional fan growth, engagement, accessibility, discovery, and retention.\nOwn Dubbing Quality and Localization Standards\nEstablish and maintain quality standards for local-language dubs, subtitles, metadata, synopses, artwork, product copy, and other localized assets.\nLead quality-control processes for dubbing, including linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, pronunciation, terminology, performance, audio quality, timing, and technical specifications.\nReview and resolve quality issues with dubbing studios, translators, editors, voice directors, and other external partners.\nEnsure localization reflects the intent, tone, cultural context, and creative integrity of the original content.\nMaintain regional language, editorial, accessibility, cultural, and brand standards in partnership with global teams.\nUse fan feedback, market insight, performance data, and quality findings to improve standards and workflows.\nManage Localization and Dubbing Partners\nManage external localization vendors, dubbing studios, translators, voice talent, voice directors, quality-assurance providers, and other production partners.\nEstablish clear briefs, scopes, schedules, service levels, quality expectations, review processes, and delivery requirements.\nMonitor vendor performance, capacity, cost, quality, turnaround times, and adherence to agreed standards.\nBuild strong working relationships with partners while addressing performance gaps, escalations, and quality issues promptly.\nSupport vendor selection, onboarding, evaluation, renewal, and continuous improvement.\nDrive Operational Execution and Launch Readiness\nManage localization and dubbing projects from intake and prioritization through delivery and post-launch review.\nCreate clear workplans, milestones, owners, dependencies, approval paths, and escalation mechanisms.\nCoordinate launch readiness with Content, Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Creative Services, Communications, Customer Experience, and Operations.\nEnsure localized assets are delivered accurately, on time, and in the required formats for platforms, products, partners, campaigns, and channels.\nMaintain visibility into delivery status, risks, capacity constraints, dependencies, and issues affecting launch readiness.\nSupport localized content availability across direct-to-consumer, distribution, partner, and à la carte channel experiences where applicable.\nBuild Scalable Processes and Frameworks\nDevelop workflows, templates, quality checklists, standards, and operating procedures for localization and dubbing.\nImprove production efficiency, quality consistency, turnaround times, asset tracking, and cross-functional coordination.\nEstablish documentation and reporting that provide visibility into localization coverage, delivery status, quality performance, vendor performance, and open issues.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and scale regional localization and dubbing operations.\nShare best practices, market learnings, and quality insights across regional and global teams.\nExperience and Qualifications\n8+ years of experience in localization, dubbing, content operations, media operations, post-production, language services, or a related field.\nExperience managing local-language dubbing, subtitling, translation, or other audiovisual localization programs.\nStrong understanding of dubbing production workflows, including casting, recording, direction, editing, mixing, mastering, quality assurance, and delivery.\nDemonstrated experience establishing or applying quality standards for localized content and dubs.\nExperience managing localization vendors, dubbing studios, agencies, translators, voice talent, or production partners.\nStrong project management skills and experience managing multiple titles, languages, markets, timelines, and dependencies.\nAbility to balance creative quality, cultural nuance, fan expectations, launch deadlines, and operational constraints.\nExperience working with Content, Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Legal, Customer Experience, and global teams in a matrixed organization.\nStrong communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.\nHigh attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and execution.\nComfort working across time zones and with globally distributed teams and external partners.\nFluency in English is required; fluency or professional proficiency in relevant regional languages is strongly preferred.\nKnowledge and passion for anime, entertainment, and fan communities is a significant plus.\nWhy you will love working at
