Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, experienced, and detail-oriented Senior T&E Operations Analyst to support the operation, control, reporting, and continuous improvement of our Global Travel & Expense program.

Reporting to the Global Travel & Expense Manager, this role will serve as a senior operational partner within the Global T&E function and will independently own complex operational activities, investigations, controls, reporting, and improvement initiatives within established program strategy and governance.

The Senior T&E Operations Analyst will work closely with Corporate Card, Expense, Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and other cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues, strengthen processes, and support scalable global operations.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly trustworthy, and comfortable operating with a high degree of independence. This person should be able to exercise sound judgment, make operational decisions within established policies and controls, challenge inefficient processes, identify root causes, and translate complex issues into practical recommendations and solutions.

Strategy, policy, governance, roadmap, and final program decisions remain with the Global Travel & Expense Manager. This role is expected to independently manage operational matters within that framework and escalate issues requiring broader policy, governance, financial, or strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

T&E Operations and Corporate Card

  • Independently manage key day-to-day operational activities across the Global T&E program, including corporate card administration, expense operations, reimbursement processes, compliance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Administer global corporate card programs, including card issuance, maintenance, cancellations, account updates, cardholder support, and program administration.
  • Monitor company card aging and drive timely cardholder submission, reconciliation, and compliance.
  • Monitor card activity for unusual spending patterns, policy exceptions, delinquency, misuse, and other potential control risks.
  • Serve as a senior operational resource for complex card, expense, travel, and reimbursement issues, driving matters through resolution within established policies and controls.
  • Support group travel events and hotel room block sourcing, including coordination with internal stakeholders and external travel partners.

Expense, Accounting, and Controls

  • Audit employee expense reports for policy compliance, accuracy, documentation, and transaction exceptions requiring further review.
  • Analyze and reconcile employee expense reimbursement files across supported countries to ensure policy and control compliance.
  • Partner with Treasury, Accounts Payable, Finance, Accounting, and other stakeholders to support payment processing, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Investigate complex discrepancies across card, expense, payment, reimbursement, and accounting data and drive issues through resolution.
  • Identify root causes of recurring reconciliation, process, or control issues and recommend sustainable corrective actions.
  • Support month-end close activities, accruals, reconciliations, and audit requests.
  • Monitor operational controls and escalate material compliance, financial, or control risks to the Global Travel & Expense Manager.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Analyze travel, card, and expense data to identify trends, anomalies, risks, compliance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, KPIs, operational metrics, and recurring reporting.
  • Translate operational data into clear insights and recommendations for T&E leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging issues through data and proactively investigate areas requiring further review.

Process Improvement and Program Change

  • Identify opportunities to improve T&E processes, systems, controls, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Independently evaluate operational issues, develop recommendations, and take approved improvements through implementation.
  • Lead or coordinate defined operational workstreams related to process changes, system enhancements, new capabilities, and program improvements.
  • Support implementation activities associated with new countries, card programs, T&E systems, policy changes, integrations, or other program changes.
  • Develop business and operational requirements in partnership with internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Coordinate testing and validation of system enhancements, new processes, and program changes.
  • Track implementation outcomes and confirm that operational changes deliver the intended control, efficiency, or user-experience improvements.
  • Document and maintain operational procedures, workflows, controls, standard operating procedures, and supporting documentation.

Stakeholder Partnership and Issue Resolution

  • Build strong working relationships across Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Procurement, employees, and external vendors.
  • Act as a knowledgeable T&E subject matter resource for operational questions, complex issues, and escalations.
  • Drive cross-functional issues through resolution by coordinating stakeholders, clarifying ownership, and maintaining accountability for agreed actions.
  • Communicate operational issues clearly, including root cause, business impact, recommended actions, and escalation requirements.
  • Exercise sound judgment in determining which operational matters can be resolved independently and which require management, policy, governance, or financial review.
  • Bring well-developed recommendations forward when escalation or management decisions are required.
  • Support the Global Travel & Expense Manager in executing program priorities and approved initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Travel & Expense, Corporate Card Administration, Finance Operations, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in relevant position or field will be considered
  • Hands-on experience administering corporate card programs; American Express experience preferred.
  • Experience auditing expense reports and investigating transaction, documentation, payment, or policy exceptions.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, accounting processes, and financial controls.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing complex operational processes with limited supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience working with large datasets and identifying trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, KPIs, and operational metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying process or control improvements and supporting or leading implementation.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Experience with SAP Concur or comparable T&E platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple countries, entities, or regional T&E programs preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex operational matters clearly to Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential employee and financial information.

What We’re Looking For

  • A senior individual contributor who takes ownership of complex work and follows issues through to resolution.
  • Someone who operates effectively with limited oversight while remaining aligned with established program strategy, policy, and governance.
  • Someone who applies sound judgment and understands the distinction between operational decisions they can make independently and matters requiring management escalation.
  • A critical thinker who proactively investigates inconsistencies, identifies root causes, and develops practical solutions.
  • Someone who challenges inefficient processes and continuously looks for better ways of operating and supporting stakeholders.
  • A relationship-driven collaborator who builds trusted partnerships across Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Procurement, employees, and external vendors.
  • Someone who can influence outcomes through expertise, analysis, communication, and strong recommendations rather than formal authority.
  • A highly dependable operator who can manage multiple priorities, maintain strong controls, and consistently deliver high-quality work.

Success in This Role

Success in this role means maintaining accurate, timely, scalable, and well-controlled Global T&E operations while continuously improving how the program operates.

The Senior T&E Operations Analyst will be expected to independently manage complex operational matters, identify issues early, investigate thoroughly, and drive appropriate resolutions within established policies and controls.

The right person will not simply execute recurring tasks. They will understand how the broader T&E operation works, recognize when something is not functioning as intended, identify root causes, develop informed recommendations, and help implement sustainable improvements.

They will earn trust through sound judgment, strong operational knowledge, dependable execution, thoughtful analysis, and effective cross-functional partnership.

The Global Travel & Expense Manager retains ownership of program strategy, policy, governance, roadmap, and final program decisions. The Senior T&E Operations Analyst is responsible for bringing depth, rigor, and independent operational ownership to the execution of that direction.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
