You will be the technical link between Crusoe's design team, Crusoe Industries (which manufactures our modular data centers), construction partners, and Cloud customers. You will adapt modular designs to each site and carry field lessons back into the next design iteration.\nThis position requires an electrical professional who thrives at the intersection of facility engineering and product design, and who is comfortable in both the design office and the field.\nThe role is in-office in Denver. Travel is anticipated at 40% to support factory acceptance testing, supplier visits, and site deployments.\nWhat You'll Be Working On\nDesign and specify the electrical systems for modular data center deployments, including MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchboards, and RPPs, with high-availability requirements.\n\nTake site-specific designs from schematic through construction-ready sets, and review drawings, submittals, and shop drawings from design partners against the Basis of Design.\n\nAudit short-circuit, protection, arc-flash, and load flow studies.\n\nDevelop and maintain installation details for modular electrical systems, and support the roadmap with R&D as new technologies and configurations are explored.\n\nResolve RFIs and Field Engineering Directives during construction, and support installation quality checks and factory witness testing.\n\nSupport commissioning (Levels 1-5) with Crusoe's Cx team, reviewing procedures and results for technical accuracy.\n\nCapture lessons learned from the field and feed them back into design templates.\n\nBe an electrical safety champion with Crusoe's construction partners.\n\nWhat You'll Bring to the Team\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.\n\n7+ years of electrical design experience in data centers or other mission-critical facilities, with exposure to construction or commissioning.\n\nWorking knowledge of the NEC and relevant NFPA/IEEE standards.\n\nProficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and a power systems analysis tool (ETAP or SKM).\n\nA track record of taking designs through construction and troubleshooting field issues with practical, code-compliant solutions.\n\nAbility to manage ambiguity and move between customer discussions and detailed engineering.\n\nStrong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nBonus Points\nActive Professional Engineer (PE) license.\n\nExperience designing or installing modular, prefabricated, or edge data centers.\n\nUnderstanding of how AI compute loads affect power distribution, from the utility transformer to the server rack.\n\nExperience with BESS or alternative energy inputs, or with SCADA and EPMS.\n\nExperience in a fast-paced design/build environment.\n\nBenefits:\nCompetitive compensation and equity packages\n\nRestricted Stock Units\n\nPaid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs\n\nComprehensive health, dental & vision insurance\n\nEmployer contributions to HSA account\n\nPaid parental leave\n\nPaid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability\n\nProfessional development & tuition reimbursement\n\nMental health & wellness support\n\nCommuter benefits (parking & transit)\n\nCell phone stipend\n\n401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary\n\nVolunteer time off\n\nGlobal travel insurance & emergency assistance\n\nDaily meals allowance\n\nAdditional perks & programs specific to location\n\nCompensation Range\nCompensation will be paid in the range of up to $170,000 -$180,000 + Bonus.
