As we rapidly expand our footprint of high-performance compute (HPC) and GPU-based AI infrastructure, you will be the primary driver behind bringing new data centers and edge sites online.\nThis is a technical, hands-on role that sits at the intersection of Network Engineering, Data Center Operations, and Project Management. You aren't just following a runbook; you are refining the deployment standards for the world’s most innovative AI cloud. You will ensure that every switch, router, and fiber optic link is deployed to spec, validated, and seamlessly handed off to our Operations team.\nWhat You’ll Be Working On:\nExecute Global Build-outs: Lead the end-to-end deployment of network infrastructure in new and existing data centers, from initial rack/stack oversight to final hand-off.\n\nBridge Design and Reality: Take high-level designs from the Network Development team and translate them into site-specific implementation plans, cable maps, and configuration templates.\n\nValidate and Commission: Perform rigorous \"Burn-in\" testing and site acceptance testing (SAT) for new network clusters, ensuring zero-defect handovers to the Operations team.\n\nOptimize Deployment Automation: Use Python, Ansible, and ZTP (Zero Touch Provisioning) to automate the staging and configuration of hundreds of network devices simultaneously.\n\nManage On-site Partners: Coordinate with remote hands, structured cabling vendors, and data center providers to ensure physical layer standards (fiber paths, power requirements, and cooling) meet Crusoe’s stringent HPC requirements.\n\nInventory and Capacity Management: Track global hardware assets and lead the \"Turn-up\" of new backbone capacity and edge interconnects.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team:\n8+ years of experience in network engineering with a heavy focus on large-scale data center deployments and infrastructure projects.\n\nMastery of Physical Layer Standards: Expert knowledge of structured cabling (SMF/MMF, MPO/MTP), optical transceivers (400G/800G), and data center power/cooling requirements.\n\nStrong Routing and Switching Knowledge: Hands-on experience configuring Arista (EOS), Juniper (Junos), and NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms in a leaf-spine architecture.\n\nProtocol Proficiency: Solid understanding of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP as they relate to large-scale fabric provisioning.\n\nAutomation-First Mindset: Proficiency in Python and Ansible for automating repetitive deployment tasks and validating configuration state.\n\nLogistical Excellence: Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously across different time zones and physical locations.\n\nTroubleshooting Expertise: Ability to diagnose complex physical layer and link-layer issues using OTDRs, light meters, and packet captures.\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience in hyperscale or ISP environments.\n\nBenefits:\nCompetitive compensation\n\nRestricted Stock Units\n\nPaid time off & paid holidays\n\nComprehensive health, dental & vision insurance\n\nEmployer contributions to HSA account\n\nPaid parental leave\n\nPaid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability\n\nProfessional development & tuition reimbursement\n\nMental health & wellness support\n\nCommuter benefits (parking & transit)\n\nCell phone stipend\n\n401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary\n\nVolunteer time off\n\nCompensation:\nCompensation will be paid in the range of $215,000 - $260,000 + Bonus.
