This role sits with an engineering team that manages system uptime and infrastructure SLAs and has not historically worked with a TPM function, so the right candidate earns credibility through technical depth and execution rigor rather than process alone. You'll drive planning and execution of maintenance windows that balance minimal customer disruption against critical hardware and firmware updates, coordinate cross-functional response during major incidents, and build the lightweight frameworks that bring predictability to an operationally complex environment. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who wants to be personally in the room for incident calls and switch upgrade planning, not managing from a dashboard\nWhat You’ll Be Working On:\nMaintenance Window Planning & Execution: Own the planning and execution of maintenance windows/production changes for high-availability cloud infrastructure, balancing minimal customer workload disruption against the need for host patching and hardware updates.\n\nIncident Management: Coordinate cross-functional response during major incidents or unplanned outages - driving communications, leading post-incident reviews (PIRs), and tracking remediation items through to closure without compromising SLA commitments.\n\nNetwork Switch Upgrades: Support planning for major network switch upgrades and migrations, tracking the hardest dependencies and flagging what's most likely to break before it does.\n\nTechnical Risk Identification: Catch technical risks in cloud availability programs before the engineering team surfaces them, and know when to solve it directly versus escalate.\n\nVendor & Partner Coordination: Engage directly with hardware/network vendors and Customer Success on high-stakes infrastructure upgrades, keeping customer-facing teams informed through the process.\n\nProgram Frameworks: Build lightweight, fit-for-purpose execution frameworks for well-scoped availability and reliability programs (e.g., firmware update campaigns) where none exist today.\n\nAI-Driven Program Execution: Actively use AI tools to improve risk identification, dependency tracking, and status communication in daily program work.\n\nEngineering Credibility: Build trust with an engineering team that hasn't previously worked with a TPM - through technical fluency in maintenance workflows and incident processes, not through imposed process\n\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\n2 to 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, with direct exposure to cloud infrastructure, availability, or operations environments.\n\nWorking knowledge of maintenance window planning, host patching, and hardware/firmware update cycles for high-availability systems.\n\nExperience with incident management practices: cross-functional incident coordination, post-incident reviews, and remediation tracking against SLA commitments.\n\nFamiliarity with network switch upgrade or migration planning, including how to identify and track critical dependencies.\n\nDemonstrated ability to build basic, lightweight program processes for well-defined initiatives and to know when to escalate versus solve directly.\n\nActive use of AI tools in program management work (risk detection, status reporting, dependency mapping), with concrete examples.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating incident response and reporting status across technical and customer-facing stakeholders\n\nBonus Points:\nDirect experience in GPU or accelerated-computing cloud infrastructure environments.\n\nPrior experience partnering with Customer Success or customer-facing teams during infrastructure upgrades.\n\nExposure to designing incident management or maintenance window frameworks from scratch, rather than operating within an existing one.\n\nExperience navigating pushback from senior technical leaders without formal authority.\n\nBenefits:\nCompetitive compensation and equity packages\n\nRestricted Stock Units\n\nPaid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs\n\nComprehensive health, dental & vision insurance\n\nEmployer contributions to HSA account\n\nPaid parental leave\n\nPaid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability\n\nProfessional development & tuition reimbursement\n\nMental health & wellness support\n\nCommuter benefits (parking & transit)\n\nCell phone stipend\n\n401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary\n\nVolunteer time off\n\nGlobal travel insurance & emergency assistance\n\nDaily meals allowance\n\nAdditional perks & programs specific to location\n\nCompensation:\nCompensation will be paid in the range of $200,000-$240,000.
