By encouraging employees to bring their whole selves to work, we create a diverse and equitable environment where all our voices are heard.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a Construction Project Engineer to assist Project Management for a project-based position within Sacramento to provide onsite field and office construction support, RFI coordination, submittals/shop drawings, subcontract development, change orders verification and development, scheduling, & construction progress tracking.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for and coordinating all activities on the jobsite, including field support/oversight of subcontractors, labor planning, scheduling, project management, and project close-out.\nAssists the Project Manager in subcontract administration process, including reviewing/controlling of project costs and budgets.\nAssist project team as field superintendent with document controls, submittal, and all associated e-construction input.\nResponsible for coordinating and scheduling subcontractor activities, documenting construction occurrences and activities, and ensure the quality and compliance with plans and specs are met.\nEnsures that subcontractors, foreman, and crews have the materials, equipment, and information necessary to perform the job.\nMust be able to provide project coverage on site.\nUse software such as Procore, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam to support PMs, and executives. \nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nBachelor’s degree in construction management or another related field.\nBasic knowledge of the construction industry and construction principles/practices.\nBasic knowledge of how to interpret construction drawings, contract documents, and construction sequencing\nExcellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, plus ability to manage a team of varied disciplines\nStrong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment\nAdvanced knowledge of MS office, Bluebeam, MS Project\nFunctional with Procore and scheduling software a plus\nMust be flexible for learning new things and a trustworthy teammate. \nEstimated Base Compensation Range: $60,000 - $70,000/year*\n*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.\nWHO WE ARE: C&S Companies is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, planning, and construction firm with more than 50 years of experience delivering projects for public and private clients across the United States.
