Our in-depth knowledge of this exciting jurisdiction takes the stress out of the process for our clients.\nIn this role, you will work closely with senior client accountants and senior management to provide accounting and financial services for SPVs and French companies.This role would suit an ambitious, energetic accountant keen to progress further in a dynamic, rapidly-growing business.\nThe salary range for this position is €34,000 to €36,000 gross per annum. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, and scope of responsibilities, in line with our objective and gender-neutral compensation framework.\nSome of the things you’ll be doing:\nSetting up/maintaining the general ledger for new/existing clients through transaction research and assessing the applicable accounting treatment for a variety of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV’s) and French Subsidiaries\n\nResponsible for posting journal entries and keeping up to date accounting records for a portfolio of French Companies\n\nPreparing annual statutory financial statements including notes and disclosures under IFRS or French GAAP and in compliance with relevant company law\n\nLiaising with auditors and senior members of the team to finalise the audited financial statements to meet statutory and other deadlines\n\nPreparing routine monthly and quarterly management accounts and other client deliverables\n\nPreparing and filing of VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns and other French taxes\n\nWorking with the accounting team towards process improvement and efficiencies\n\nGaining familiarity with a diverse range of investments structures and products\n\nAd hoc finance projects and general support to the senior members of the team\n\nWhat technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?\nBaccalauréat + 2 years degree in accounting ( BTS compta gestion or DUT GEA)\n\n2+ years’ experience in a relevant role in an accounting firm or financial services company\n\nA good understanding of technical accounting knowledge is required\n\nStrong organisational skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines\n\nTeam player, with strong problem solving skills\n\nConscientious and diligent, with high attention to detail\n\nProfessional, friendly demeanor with enthusiasm for the role\n\nProficient in MS Word, Excel and accounting
