The role partners with business data owners, stewards, and technology teams to establish consistent governance practices, strengthen data ownership and accountability, improve metadata and data quality, and support compliance with privacy, retention, and risk requirements. By coordinating governance activities, facilitating stakeholder engagement, monitoring performance, and promoting adoption of enterprise standards and tools, this role helps ensure data is well-managed, trusted, discoverable, and used responsibly across the organization\nSome of the things you will be doing:\nData Governance Program Support\nSupport the implementation and maturation of the enterprise data governance framework.\n\nAssist in developing and maintaining data governance policies, standards, procedures, and operating models.\n\nFacilitate governance councils, stewardship forums, working groups, and governance-related meetings.\n\nTrack governance initiatives, decisions, action items, risks, and issue remediation activities.\n\nPromote governance awareness and adoption across business and technology teams.\n\nData Ownership and Stewardship Enablement\nPartner with business unit leads to identify and document Data Owners and Business Data Stewards.\n\nFacilitate stewardship onboarding and training activities.\n\nClarify governance roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and accountability expectations.\n\nCoordinate stewardship activities across data domains and business functions.\n\nEscalate unresolved ownership, accountability, and stewardship issues through appropriate governance channels.\n\nMetadata and Data Catalog Governance\nSupport the development and maintenance of business glossaries, data dictionaries, and governance metadata.\n\nEstablish metadata standards, governance workflows, and quality expectations.\n\nCoordinate metadata collection and validation activities performed by business and technical stakeholders.\n\nMonitor metadata completeness and governance compliance.\n\nPromote effective use of enterprise data catalog capabilities.\n\nData Quality Governance\nSupport implementation of enterprise data quality policies, standards, metrics, and controls.\n\nFacilitate identification, prioritization, and escalation of data quality issues.\n\nCoordinate remediation efforts with business stewards, system owners, and technology teams.\n\nTrack data quality trends, root causes, and corrective actions.\n\nReport on data quality performance and governance outcomes.\n\nPolicy, Compliance, and Risk Management\nSupport alignment of activities with regulatory, privacy, records retention, and risk management requirements. Support implementation of data classification, retention, and protection requirements.\n\nAssist with governance assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.\n\nMaintain governance documentation and evidence required for internal and external audits.\n\nStakeholder Engagement and Change Management\nCollaborate with business, technology, analytics, security, privacy, legal, compliance, and risk stakeholders.\n\nCommunicategovernance standards, expectations, and program objectives.\n\nDevelop training materials, guidance documents, and governance communications.\n\nDrive adoption of governance processes and stewardship practices through education and stakeholder engagement.\n\nReporting and Metrics\nDefine and track governance KPIs and stewardship performance measures.\n\nProduce governance dashboards, management reports, and executive summaries.\n\nMonitor governance maturity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\n\nReport governance risks, trends, and and adoption metrics to leadership.\n\nWhat technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?\nBachelor's degree in Information Management, Business, Information Systems, Data Management, Analytics, Computer Science, or related discipline (equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education).\n\nPreferred CDMP or comparable data management certification.\n\n3-5 years of practical experience in data governance, data quality, metadata management, business analysis, risk management, compliance, records management, or compliance, records management, or a related field.\n\nPractical experience applying privacy laws such as GDPR and/or CCPA in a corporate environment.\n\nPractical experience with governance and catalog platforms such as Informatica Data Catalog, Informatica CDGC, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, or similar tools\n\nProficient in SQL to pull, audit and analyze data sets\n\nKnowledge of DAMA-DMBOK principles and governance best practices\n\nFamiliarity with metadata management, business glossaries, data catalogs, and data lineage concepts.\n\nStrong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.\n\nExcellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\nAbility to influence without direct authority.\n\nStrong organizational and project coordination skills.\n\nAbility to document policies, standards, procedures, and governance requirements clearly and consistently.\n\n*This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, E-3) now or in the future.\n**The salary range for this specific role will be € 34,599.76 to € 50,254.62 gross per year.
