This role exists because we are scaling an APIfirst, composable service architecture across our portfolio of brands, and we need engineers who can design systems endto-end - not just ship features.\nAt 6-12 months, success looks like: services you designed are live and consumed by other teams, your APIs and SDKs are documented and discoverable, and you have established yourself as a reliable technical owner across the full software lifecycle. You will work in TypeScript and React on AWS Serverless, and you will collaborate directly with product teams to architect solutions that are elegant, scalable, and built to last.\nThis is a lean team. You will own a lot, move fast, and make decisions with full end-to-end responsibility.\nWhat You'll Do\nOnboard various parts of the stack to support our API-first architecture and composable service model.\nPartner with product teams to architect and implement services within our retail cloud.\nDesign and implement full-stack solutions in TypeScript and JavaScript on AWS Serverless infrastructure.\nBuild quality, well-tested frontend components in React that are responsive and maintainable.\nPublish APIs, SDKs, and CLIs for your systems so other developers can integrate with them easily.\nOwn the full software lifecycle for your services - from design through deployment and iteration.\nStay current with best practices for clean architecture, elegant code, and modern engineering patterns.\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years of experience in full-stack development, with meaningful work across both frontend and backend systems.\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript (3+ years), JavaScript, Node.js, and React.\nHands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, CloudFront, and CodePipeline.\nDemonstrated ability to own a microservice or internally facing product end-to-end, not just individual features.\nStrong sense of ownership for the full software lifecycle - from design and development through deployment and maintenance.\nCommitment to finding the best solution, not just the fastest one.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience publishing and maintaining SDKs, CLIs, or developer-facing APIs for internal or external consumers.\nFamiliarity with composable commerce or microservices architecture in a multi-brand or platform environment.\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform) alongside serverless deployments.\nPrior work in a retail tech or e-commerce engineering context.\nWhy Join\nThe people who do best here are builders.
