The ideal candidate will be skilled in backlog refinement, user-story development, iteration planning, and facilitating collaboration among Product Owners, functional subject matter experts, stakeholders, and development teams.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop a strong understanding of mission and business objectives while maintaining a working knowledge of software development practices and technologies\nServe as the focal point for capturing, analyzing, documenting, and managing functional requirements, non-functional requirements, and user stories\nDecompose features into clear, actionable user stories that can be implemented through short, iterative development cycles\nLead backlog-refinement sessions to ensure work items are clearly defined, appropriately prioritized, and ready for implementation\nCollaborate with Product Owners to prioritize the product backlog and align requirements with business objectives and roadmap goals\nPartner with the Scrum Master to establish sprint backlogs, resolve impediments, and define the scope of work for each iteration\nDevelop and maintain team and iteration backlogs, including user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and requirements traceability\nWork closely with Product Owners and functional subject matter experts to validate requirements and confirm alignment on scope and expected outcomes\nTranslating business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams\nDefine and validate testable acceptance criteria that support test-driven development and the acceptance of completed work\nPrepare upcoming work items for future iterations by elaborating requirements and confirming backlog readiness\nLead software demonstrations for stakeholders and communicate the results of each iteration\nAct independently to identify, investigate, and resolve problems\nMinimum Requirements\nU.S. citizenship\nMust be able to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance (Active clearance preferred)\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered\nAt least five years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting iterative software development projects\nExperience working with Agile or SAFe methodologies\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nCreativity and adaptability in problem-solving\nAbility to work with clients to understand their needs\nStrong organizational and time-management skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nProfessional presence\nPreferred Skills\nSAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification\nSAFe Practitioner certification\nCertified Business Analysis Professional certification\nAgile or Scrum Master certification\nKnowledge of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge\nExperience with SAP or a software development background\nExperience using ServiceNow or Jira\nDemonstrated ability to work independently, identify issues, and drive problems to resolution\nAbility to work in a team environment, as well as independently\nStrong customer and vendor relationship skills\nDemonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies\nMotivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value\nPast experience working with a Federal government agency\nDepartment of War experience is a plus!\nAbout CSCI\nCSCI is an award-winning information technology and financial management consulting firm founded on one simple philosophy: “Do what is right, always.” We apply this philosophy across all elements of our growing business, from delivering world-class services for customers to providing an environment where associates thrive both personally and professionally.
