architecture planning.\nProvide architectural guidance during incident investigations and root-cause analysis.\nPromote operational readiness, security, auditability, and production supportability.\n\nTeam Leadership:\nMentor senior developers and technical leads in Java, system design, and online troubleshooting.\nBuild the team's ability to make sound technical decisions and own solutions end to end.\nCollaborate with US-based customers, business stakeholders, and global engineering teams.\nPartner with product owners and engineering leads to refine requirements, plan work, track dependencies, and communicate delivery progress using Agile practices.\n\nTechnical Skills:\n\nCore Java & Application Architecture:\nExperience with Spring Boot and REST APIs.\nFamiliarity with SQL and relational databases.\nKnowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle, and unit testing.\nEnterprise Java application design and development.\nAPIs, service-oriented architecture, and system integration.\nAutomated testing, code quality, and maintainability practices.\n\nPlatform & Operations:\nEnable the adoption of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Glean, and similar platforms.\nSupport initiatives involving APIs, scripting, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.\nBuild integrations between mainframe and distributed/open systems platforms.\nProven experience in CI/CD design and automation (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Chef).\nProficiency in scripting/programming (JavaScript, Python, and PowerShell).\nIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows through AI and automation.\n\nGood to Know:\nHigh-Level Assembler (HLASM) and mainframe online application concepts.\nCICS, DB2, or related mainframe technologies.\nKnowledge of RabbitMQ and Elasticsearch.\nFamiliarity with observability, logging, monitoring, and application security.\n\nLeadership & Business:\nSolution and application architecture.\nTechnical roadmap planning and risk assessment.\nStakeholder communication and cross-team collaboration.\nTeam mentoring and technical knowledge transfer.\nTelecom billing and customer-care domain knowledge.\n\nAgile Delivery & Work Management:\nKnowledge of Agile practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.\nExperience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for work items, user stories, bugs, sprint boards, and delivery tracking.\nAbility to help teams maintain clear priorities, ownership, and visibility into progress and risks.\n\nIdeal Experience:\n15+ years of software development experience, with deep Java expertise.\n5+ years in architecture, technical leadership, or equivalent senior engineering roles.\nExperience designing and supporting high-volume applications.\nExperience with enterprise integrations and mission-critical production systems.\nTelecom billing, customer care, or comparable enterprise-domain experience.\nDemonstrated success
