The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-volume payment processing solutions that integrate with card networks, EFT networks, core banking systems, and third-party payment services.\nThis role requires strong expertise in electronic payments, ISO 8583 messaging, transaction routing, authorization processing, network connectivity, and end-to-end payment transaction lifecycle management.\nKey Responsibilities\nPostilion Development\nDesign, develop, and maintain custom applications using Postilion Realtime SDK.\nDevelop new nodes using Rest API, routing logic, and authorization modules within the Postilion platform.\nCustomize and support Postilion transaction workflows to meet business and network requirements.\nDevelop interfaces between Postilion and external systems, including issuer hosts, fraud systems, and payment gateways.\nParticipate in system enhancements, upgrades, and migrations.\nPayment Network Integration\nDesign and implement integrations with payment networks, including:\n· Visa\n· Mastercard\n· Pulse\n· NYCE\n· STAR\nSupport network certifications and transaction testing activities.\nImplement and troubleshoot network management messages and routing configurations.\nAnalyze network specifications and translate them into technical solutions.\nTransaction Processing & Switching\nConfigure and support ATM, POS, debit card, credit card, and digital payment transaction processing.\nDesign and maintain authorization, stand-in processing, routing, settlement, and reconciliation functions.\nInvestigate and resolve transaction failures and network communication issues.\nOptimize transaction performance and throughput for high-volume payment environments.\nISO 8583 & Messaging\nDevelop and troubleshoot ISO 8583 message parsing, transformation, and routing.\nMap transaction messages between payment networks and internal systems.\nAnalyze message logs and perform transaction-level troubleshooting.\nSupport custom message formats and network-specific extensions.\nProduction Support\nMonitor production transaction flows and switch performance.\nProvide Level 2/Level 3 support for payment processing applications.\nConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for incidents.\nParticipate in on-call support rotations and critical production deployments.\nEnsure system uptime, resilience, and regulatory compliance.\nSecurity & Compliance\nSupport PCI DSS compliance initiatives.\nImplement secure transaction processing practices.\nWork with HSM integrations for PIN and key management.\nEnsure adherence to payment industry security standards.\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience\n5+ years of software development experience.\n5+ years of hands-on experience with ACI Postilion.\nStrong experience developing solutions using Postilion Realtime SDK.\nExperience supporting production payment switching environments.\nProven experience integrating payment networks and third-party processors.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of ISO 8583 transaction messaging.\nExperience with:\nATM transaction processing\nPOS transaction processing\nDebit and credit card payment systems\nAuthorization and settlement flows\nProgramming experience in Java.\nProficiency with SQL and relational databases.\nStrong TCP/IP networking knowledge.\nExperience with REST APIs, Web Services, and socket-based integrations.\nFamiliarity with Windows and Linux server administration.\nNetwork & Payments Expertise\nExperience integrating with Visa, Mastercard, Pulse, NYCE, STAR, or similar networks.\nKnowledge of acquiring and issuing transaction flows.\nUnderstanding of network certification processes.\nExperience troubleshooting network connectivity and transaction routing issues.\nFamiliarity with payment settlement and reconciliation processes.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Postilion Office, Postilion Portal, Postilion Office Recon product.\nExperience with HSMs such as Atalla AKB, Thales, or Entrust.\nKnowledge of EMV, contactless, tokenization, and digital wallets.\nKnowledge of Visa, Mastercard SMS, or similar payment processing platforms.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nDesired Skills\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in mission-critical production environments.\nStrong understanding of payment ecosystems and transaction processing.\nAbility to mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives.\nSelf-motivated with a strong focus on quality and operational excellence.\nAs a forward-thinking software provider, Computer Services, Inc.
