As part of CSIRO, Australia's National Science Agency, we are committed to advancing trusted science and supporting research communities both in Australia and around the world.\nWe're seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Journals Portfolio Coordinator to support a portfolio of scholarly journals and editorial boards. In this role, you'll work closely with editors, society partners and publishing professionals to help deliver high-quality journal publishing services, support journal growth and contribute to initiatives that enhance journal visibility, reputation and impact.\nReporting to the Head, Content, you'll collaborate with the Journals Manager, Journals Publishing Assistant and colleagues across CSIRO Publishing to coordinate journal activities, maintain strong stakeholder relationships and support the successful delivery of publishing initiatives.\nActing as a key liaison between editorial boards, society partners and internal teams, you'll help coordinate journal operations, support publishing agreement commitments, monitor journal performance and contribute to activities that strengthen engagement across the scholarly publishing community. This is an excellent opportunity to build expertise in journal management while taking responsibility for a defined portfolio of journals.\nYour high-level duties will include:\nActing as a responsive and trusted contact for editorial boards.\nCoordinating editorial board meetings, appointments and editor onboarding.\nPreparing journal reports and monitoring agreed performance measures.\nSupporting publishing agreements, special issues and invited papers.\nContributing to the launch and integration of new journals.\nCoordinating indexing and abstracting applications.\nSupporting promotional campaigns and stakeholder communications.\nIdentifying practical improvements to processes and services.\nRole particulars\nLocation: Clayton, Victoria.
