Many of our iconic innovations were once considered impossible until someone, just like you, joined us and took on the challenge.\nVisit CSIRO.au for more information.\nThe opportunity\nCSIRO is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the delivery of a strategic program transforming how data is governed, managed, accessed and used across the organisation.\nThe Data Modernisation Program is strengthening CSIRO’s data capabilities to enable trusted, accessible and data-driven decision-making. Bringing together business, data and digital transformation activities, the program will establish stronger foundations for advanced analytics, AI adoption and enterprise-wide data sharing.\nWorking closely with the Program Manager, project managers, IMT delivery teams, business stakeholders and the Digital Portfolio Office, you will provide high-quality coordination across program governance, reporting, planning, records management and stakeholder engagement.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a complex, organisation-wide transformation program while working across diverse projects, technical teams and business areas.\nYour high-level duties will include:\nCoordinate program governance activities, including agendas, papers, minutes, decisions and action tracking.\nSupport program planning and controls by tracking milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues and emerging priorities.\nPrepare clear and timely program reporting and documentation to support decision-making and governance.\nMaintain accurate program information, records and registers, including an active program lessons register, to support transparency and auditability.\nSupport financial reporting, benefits tracking, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.\nBuild effective working relationships with project teams, business stakeholders, delivery partners and subject matter experts to support coordinated program outcomes.\nCoordinate discrete pieces of work and small initiatives in line with CSIRO practices.\nMaintain program and transactional records across relevant CSIRO systems, including O2D and Altus.\nRole particulars\nLocation: Any CSIRO site considered - Flexible/hybrid working options\nSalary: AU$118k - AU$127k pa + 15.4% superannuation\nTenure: Specified term until June 2028, Full-time\nReference: 104420\nAs the successful candidate, you will bring:\nDemonstrated experience in a program or PMO coordination role, providing high-quality support in a complex organisational environment.\nProven ability to support governance, reporting and program controls, including schedules, action logs, RAID registers, meeting coordination and reporting packs.\nStrong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, technical teams and Enterprise Services business areas to support delivery outcomes.\nWell-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, accurate and audience-appropriate documentation, reporting and meeting materials.\nStrong organisational skills, attention to detail and follow-through, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records and program information.\nAn understanding of project and program delivery practices/methodologies within an IMT or digital delivery environment, and the ability to support delivery across multiple initiatives eg.
