You'll take tender documents and site requirements and turn them into detailed, competitive pricing that our Operations teams can successfully deliver.\nYou'll work closely with Sales and Operations throughout the estimating process, from reviewing the scope and visiting properties through to building the final bid and submitting the tender.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nReview commercial landscape maintenance and snow & ice management tender documents and scopes of work\nVisit properties and assess the requirements, service levels, site conditions and operational considerations\nDevelop labour and production requirements for maintenance and snow operations\nCalculate equipment, materials, subcontractor and other operational costs\nBuild detailed pricing and prepare competitive bids\nReview historical pricing, production rates and operational data when developing estimates\nObtain supplier and subcontractor pricing\nWork with Operations to validate staffing, equipment and production assumptions\nIdentify risks, exclusions and areas that could affect the cost of delivering the contract\nPrepare and submit bids through MERX, Biddingo, Bonfire and other electronic procurement platforms\nEnsure tenders are accurate, complete and submitted on time\nMaintain estimating information and support improvements to our pricing processes\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're looking for someone who understands commercial landscape maintenance and/or snow operations and can translate that knowledge into accurate pricing.\nYour experience could come from estimating, operations, account management, branch management or another role within the commercial landscape industry. What matters most is your understanding of the work and your ability to develop a competitive bid.\nYou bring:\n3+ years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance, snow & ice management, or a related operational role\nExperience preparing bids, estimates or pricing for landscape maintenance and/or snow contracts\nA strong understanding of labour requirements, production rates and equipment needs\nExperience reviewing scopes of work, tender documents and site requirements\nStrong Excel skills and comfort working with detailed pricing models\nExcellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work with both Sales and Operations\nExperience with municipal, institutional or large commercial contracts is an asset, as is experience with MERX, Bonfire, Biddingo or similar procurement platforms.\nWhy CSL?\nAt CSL, you'll be part of a growing, family-owned company where estimating isn't just about putting numbers on a spreadsheet.
