Additional responsibilities include receiving and verifying shipments, assisting with inventory cycle counts, verifying invoices, using a computer and food service software, and handling paperwork.\nFull Consideration Date:\nThis posting will remain open until filled.\nHousing & Dining Services:\nPlease visit https://hr.colostate.edu/prospective-employees/our-people/ to learn about joining Housing & Dining Services (HDS) as one of the largest departments on campus and is responsible for the management, finance, administration, and program development of all University housing facilities, including residence halls, university apartments, and Mountain Campus.\nEssential Job Duties:\nReceive, store, deliver, refrigerate, freeze, thaw, rotate, and maintain the quality, quantity, and appearance of foods and supplies in accordance with safety, sanitation, and operational guidelines. \nPull food and materials from stock, stage items for delivery, verify the accuracy of items pulled, load trucks to maximize delivery-route efficiency, and deliver items to dining centers. \nReceive and verify shipments, confirm vendor invoice accuracy, communicate shortages or excesses, apply HACCP practices, and safely operate specialized equipment, including a refrigerated truck, forklift, and pallet jack. \nClean and sanitize production and service areas, machinery and equipment, dishes and utensils, food storage areas, and workspaces in accordance with sanitation guidelines and schedules. \nAssist with inventory cycle counts, inventory management systems, customer support, and problem resolution, and professionally address customer concerns. \nAttend assigned meetings and training sessions, communicate with unit management on inventory and product receipt, train hourly employees, and perform other duties as assigned. \nConditions of Employment:\nPre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires).\nPre-employment Physical.\nPre-employment Drug Testing.\nValid Driver’s License. \nEssential Services Designation. \nOn-call Status.\nSpecial Requirements/Other: Per CSU HDS food safety training policy, the incumbent must successfully pass the ServSafe certification exam within 6 months of hire date.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMinimum Years of Experience and/or Skills:\nOne year of experience, including warehousing, handling, shipping, receiving, storing, inventory, and/or distribution of goods. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nOrdering and inventory experience in a food service operation. \nWork experience storing and rotating food inventory using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method. \nWork experience in a high-volume meal prep (500+ meals/day) food production operation. \nKnowledge of Food Safety as it relates to food storage. \nFood Safety Certification (i.e. ServSafe, HACCP). \nExperience delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers while adhering to employer and department policies. \nApplication Instructions:\nTo apply, please upload a cover letter and resume that clearly outline your work experience, education, certifications, and any other relevant information demonstrating how your qualifications align with the required and preferred qualifications listed in the posting.
