This Staff Accountant will be the fiscal partner to Executive Directors who operate various workforce development programs, therefore, a high level of accuracy and confidentiality must be maintained. The primary responsibilities for this role will focus on invoicing, reporting project financial status, managing project forecasts, and associated modeling for strategic planning and analysis for various contracts across our continuously expanding organization.\nHere at Career Team, the Staff Accountant is an integral part of our team and will assist us with our mission of accelerating the human condition!\nIn this role, you will work from 10:00pm to 7:00am PHST.\nCareer Team also offers a competitive total rewards package including:\namazing options for advancement;\nHMO with an option to add dependents;\npaid holidays;\nand 15 days paid time off, offered on an accrual basis.\nYour Impact on Career Team's Success:\nEstablish procedures and policies to facilitate effective and efficient financial reporting and ensure compliance with Federal WIOA, local, State, and corporate policies.\nEnsure that the project fulfills all financial obligations in a timely and economic manner in accordance with established policies and budgets within WIOA guidelines.\nPrepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and working capital requirements.\nMonitor government contracts and private restricted funding to ensure full financial utilization.\nProcess employee expenses, vendor project invoices and program payroll analytics.\nPerform month-end closing activities including Balance Sheet reconciliations.\nCompile all supporting documentation for monthly contract invoices.\nSupport annual audit deliverables and manage periodic program audit requests.\nOversee and complete software client invoice process ensuring customer orders are invoiced and fulfilled within a timely manner.\nApproach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset.\nOther duties and projects as needed.\nIdeal Candidate Qualifications: \nA bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related concentration.\nA minimum of 3 years’ experience handling US government contracts is a plus.\nMust have demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), be able to reconcile balance sheets and profit/loss reports, as well as implement fiscal management policies and procedures.\nDemonstrate strong proficiency using advanced computer skills in MS Excel and Accounting Software such as Quick Books.\nProfessional communication skills with a strong command of the English language both verbal and written.\nExperience with handling sensitive and confidential data.\nExperience with interacting with Executive, Upper Management and 3rd party funding sources.\nMust be an initiative-taker, hands-on and able to be flexible with competitive work demands.
