We are building on-chain infrastructure for capital markets, so we need engineers who can work across backend, blockchain and financial systems. Those people are hard to find and in high demand.\nYou will own engineering hiring day to day, from lead and senior engineers to blockchain specialists and our placement student programme. You will work as a partner to our engineering leaders. That means shaping how we assess candidates, telling them what the market will and won’t support, and keeping the pipeline healthy across London and Belfast. When needed, you will also support hiring in Product and other functions.\nYou will work closely with engineering leadership, interview panels and the wider Talent team, and lead the weekly engineering hiring sync. This role is based in our Belfast office.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nOwn the engineering hiring pipeline end to end, from intake to accepted offer, across several live roles at once.\n\nRun intake meetings with engineering leaders to define the level, the profile, the interview loop and the salary target before a role goes live.\n\nBuild sourcing strategies for scarce profiles and run targeted outreach that gets replies from people who aren’t looking.\n\nAssess candidates with enough technical understanding to judge seniority, probe what someone actually built, and make a clear recommendation.\n\nImprove our engineering interview process with the team, from first-round questions to scorecards in Teamtailor, so decisions are consistent and well evidenced.\n\nCoach interviewers on running a good interview, especially with sourced candidates who are still deciding whether they’re interested.\n\nAdvise hiring managers on market conditions, salary expectations and the trade-offs behind hybrid and location requirements.\n\nRun debriefs, push for timely decisions, and manage offers through to close, including references and pay conversations.\n\nManage agency partners for engineering roles, brief them properly, and hold them to the quality we expect.\n\nUse pipeline data to track conversion and time to hire, flag bottlenecks, and report progress in the weekly hiring sync.\n\nThis role will be a great fit if you:\nHave 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a strong track record of hiring software engineers, in-house or agency.\n\nUnderstand engineering well enough to tell a lead from a senior, and to spot when a CV claims more than the person did.\n\nHave built pipelines for hard-to-fill technical roles through direct sourcing rather than relying on applications.\n\nAre trusted by engineering leaders as a partner, and challenge them with evidence when the bar or the process is slipping.\n\nCan run several searches at once without losing pace, quality or candidate experience on any of them.\n\nCare about the small details, from accurate notes to a well-timed update and rejections with real feedback.\n\nRaise your hand early when a search is off track, and come with a plan to fix it.\n\nUse data and new tools, including AI, to work faster without cutting corners.\n\nNice to haves:\nExperience hiring for blockchain, web3 or fintech engineering teams.\n\nKnowledge of the Belfast and London engineering markets.\n\nExperience running early careers or placement student programmes.\n\nExperience using Teamtailor or a similar ATS.\n\nOur Benefits\nJoin a scaling fintech building the next generation of investment banking.
