Inspects packaging, labeling, and associated documents for accuracy and donor traceability.\nPackages and ensures tissue, cultures, and blood are stored properly and within acceptable limits.\nIdentifies, communicates, and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner.\nEnsures potential special processing donors are identified and go through proper receiving paths. \nPackages and prepares donor tissue for required shipments\nResponsible to be on call for environmental monitoring and equipment.\n\nTissue Receiving Coordinator II\n1. Completion of Section A or B\n2. Employee has communicated interest in cross training on opposite section\n3. Must be willing to train as opportunities arise regardless of shift\n\nTissue Receiving Coordinator III\nAll Essential functions of Tissue Receiving Coordinator A and B.\nResponsible for being on call for donor tissue.\n\nTissue Receiving Coordinator IV\nAll Essential functions of Tissue Receiving Coordinator III.\nIn the absence of a team leader ensures all daily tasks are performed accurately.\n\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\n\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE \n\nTissue Receiving Coordinator I\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required.\nIntermediate computer literacy.\nSolid problem-solving, decision-making skills and strong attention to detail.\nInterpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers.\nAbility to follow directions and serve well as a team member. \nAbility to enter and report numbers accurately.\n\nTissue Receiving Coordinator II\nCompletion of section A or B\nAll Education/Experience of Tissue Receiving Coordinator I.\n\nTissue Receiving Coordinator III\nAll Education/Experience of Tissue Receiving Coordinator I\nCompetence in all Tissue Receiving Coordinator section A and B training modules. \n\nTissue Receiving Coordinator IV\nAll Education/Experience of Tissue Receiving Coordinator III.\nEmployee has communicated interest and has been recommended by management\nAbility and willingness to fill in as a team leader as needed.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES\nMust be able to take call and work after hours as needed.\nRequires heavy lifting. \nMust possess a valid driver’s license and be considered insurable by Solvita insurance provider.\nMust be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.\nDemonstrate positive team building behaviors that include effective decision making.\nAbility to be competent in either section of Tissue Receiving Coordinator I training modules and working independently within 6 months.\nMust be able to be on call for levels I (as assigned), II, III, and IV.\n\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nAssociates Degree in a health-related field.\nKnowledge of anatomy and sterile technique.\nCertified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS).\nOne year of tissue banking
