{"id":2546212,"url":"https://alion.io/job/cubep-processmaintenance-technician-afternoon-shift","title":"Process/Maintenance Technician - Afternoon Shift","company":{"id":4416369,"name":"Cubep","domain":"cubep.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/cubep","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Workable","truth_index":null},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":"senior","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Aurora, Canada"],"countries":["CA"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":29000,"max_usd":60000,"period":"year","method":"role_country_seniority_unknown","sample_n":1565},"experience_years_min":5,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-22T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-09-22","last_verified_at":"2026-10-15T14:54:56Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":23,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":23},"description":"Major Responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain best practice injection molding process, target parameters to improve cycle time while maintaining high quality standards.\nEnsure that all production processes are established, benchmarked, backed up and maintained and that all molding employees are trained\nCommissioning of new equipment: robots, IMMs, molds achieving forecasted cycle times\nFostering a working environment that is fair and equitable and promotes sharing learning and training.\nSuggest tool design modification to run tools faster with reliable process.\nFollowing and complying with Cube Management System (CMS)\nRequired Duties:\nEnsure all machines are running to master process and communicate when master process is deviated.\nMaintain the process standards in which all parts are manufactured.\nMaintain best possible injection molding process parameters and cycle times.\nCommunicate with previous and next shift to understand any technical or quality issues.\nMaintenance Responsibilities:\nInjection Molding Machinery\nDiagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, hybrid, and electric injection molding machines.\nTroubleshoot issues related to hydraulic circuits, pumps, valves, leaks, pressures, and actuators.\nIdentify and repair electrical faults, including sensors, relays, heaters, thermocouples, limit switches, and safety interlocks.\nMaintain and repair clamp systems, ejector systems, platen alignment, tie-bars, lubrication systems, and mechanical wear components.\nPerform preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and complete required documentation.\nInspect and maintain barrel assemblies, heater bands, wiring, and cooling channels.\nRobotics & Automation\nPerform adjustments and repairs to end-of-arm tooling (EOAT).\nDiagnose robot I/O issues and perform minor program edits for recovery.\nMaintain and troubleshoot downstream automation equipment such as conveyors, separators, and handling systems.\nAuxiliary Equipment\nMaintain and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment, including resin dryers and loaders, blenders, grinders, temperature control units (TCUs), chillers, and hot runner temperature controllers.\nInspect and repair water, air, and vacuum lines associated with molding operations.\nGeneral Maintenance\nRead and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.\nPerform mechanical repairs using machine tools such as grinders, drill presses, and lathes (as required).\nFollow all safety rules, SOPs, and lockout/tagout procedures.\nInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.\nProvide support on facility-related projects and preventative maintenance tasks.\nEducation and Experience:\nMinimum five (5) years of experience in direct/indirect supervision and injection molding ma-chine processing to produce molded parts.\nUniversity Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or accredited mold making program or relevant College Technical Certification\nMinimum three (3) years of experience using Lean Manufacturing methodologies, i.e. SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die)\nMinimum three (3) years of experience developing Continuous Improvements in production processes.\nDemonstrated hands-on leadership and coaching abilities - able to demonstrate several examples of empowering, developing and motivating people\nWorking knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics\nBasic tooling background an asset\nMust have computer skills (Microsoft Office experience required)\nExperience in crane, scissor lift and forklift an asset\nSoft Skills\nProblem solving - the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.\nInterpersonal Skills - the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others’ ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things.\nOral communication - the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, group presentations and meetings.\nWritten Communication - the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.\nPlanning/organizing - the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.\nQuality control - the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.\nAdaptability -
