As an Assembler, you will assemble all heater unit product codes and fabricate necessary components as required per work order, blue print, and engineering specification.\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:\nLays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.\nDrills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.\nAttaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.\nHydro test per specification.\nPaints product as necessary.\nInstalls and wires Thermostats and other options.\nFabricates bussing, and solders connections.\nTests and adjusts electrical components.\nDiscusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.\nWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\nRequired Experience\nOne to three months related experience and/or training\nPreferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nCertified in the following ASME brazing procedures, BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\nTravel & Working Environment\nEmployee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\nEmployee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
