As a Commercial Strategy Associate Intern, you will support our business objectives through data analysis, process standardization, and strategic reporting. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentors to streamline processes, monitor market trends, and enhance product performance metrics. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in engineering or business disciplines, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools. This role holds significant responsibility for managing intelligence that will drive critical business decisions and includes visibility and interaction with senior leadership.\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:\nCommercial Pricing:Document, analyze, and capture the pricing process to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.\n\nProduct Management ProcessesStandardize and document processes to support consistent execution and alignment across teams.\n\nMarket Monitoring:Track key market indicators and develop regular reports to inform decision-making and strategy.\n\nPerformance Modeling and Dashboards:Create models and dashboards to analyze product performance, enabling data-driven business strategies.\n\nWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\nRequired Experience\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Business, or a related field.\nStrong analytical and data interpretation skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Teams and Zoom.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships across teams.\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nInterest in commercial strategy, product management, or market analysis.\nFamiliarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.\nEducation & Certifications\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Business, or a related field.\nTravel & Working Environment\nThe Commercial Strategy Intern will work in a hybrid model, with three remote workdays and two in-office days at the designated location.\nThe role offers a supportive environment, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development.\nHow we live our culture\nOur culture is at the center of what we do and, more importantly, who we are.
