The Graphic Design Intern will support the development and execution of visual content across digital and print platforms, helping to communicate our products, brand identity, and marketing messages effectively. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of design projects including product collateral, website updates, social media graphics, and campaign materials. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Designer and collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency, design quality, and timely delivery of creative materials.\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will include:\nCreative Design & Content Development\nSelect and develop photo images for marketing materials, websites, and social or blog posts to support campaigns and storytelling.\nDesign and produce marketing materials for both print and digital applications, ensuring brand consistency and visual impact.\nRetouch and manipulate images to enhance quality and align with brand standards.\nAssist with rebranding initiatives by updating product collateral and marketing assets to reflect current templates and guidelines.\nDigital & Web Support\nAssist with light website updates and content edits within WordPress.\nHelp maintain backend systems by uploading and updating product and marketing content.\nSupport the organization and management of digital asset libraries and the marketing file server to ensure accessibility and version control.\nCollaboration & Coordination\nWork under the direction of a Senior Designer to support the Marketing Communications Team with creative projects, campaign coordination, and promotional activities.\nCollaborate across departments to ensure marketing materials effectively communicate key messages and product value.\nParticipate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute fresh ideas and creative input.\nAdministrative & General Support\nAssist with daily marketing administration tasks and general office duties as assigned\nProvide support for special projects, product launches, and company events as needed.\nWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\nRequired Experience\nStrong interest in creative design, branding, marketing communications, and digital media\nComfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent projects\nExperience in both print and digital design layout creations\nStrong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)\nSolid understanding of color theory and typography\nStrong project management and organizational skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively with teams while independently managing projects.\nEducation & Certifications\nAt least junior level in a bachelor’s program with a major in Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.\n3.0/4.0 GPA or higher preferred.\nTravel & Working Environment\nMinimum travel may be required.
