As a Logistics Coordinator I, you will be overseeing and monitoring the flow of materials throughout the plant. Additionally, you will coordinate all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics. The successful Logistics Coordinator I will have a strong analytical mindset, function with a sense of urgency and possess the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:\nCoordinating with Project Management, Logistics Management, Shipping Clerks, Material Managers, and Carriers for the Olathe plant’s outbound shipments\nManage daily parts/tower staging and outbound flow of materials \nConfirm all manufactured and purchased parts are available for timely shipment\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, scheduling, and quality, to ensure smooth material flow and timely delivery to meet production schedules\nSupplemental and Tower Extra logistical execution\nSecure and oversee shipping arrangements of units, including working with outside companies to secure trucking and containers\nCollaborate with Sales when arranging shipment\nProvide up to date information to customer or end user as to delivery dates and times\nPerform system functions related to shipping\nManage BOL and quality photos of each shipment\nAssist with compliance requirements and document retention \nMeasure and improve On Time Delivery for aftermarket, package towers, field erected products, and inter-plant orders\nPrimary backup for other Shipping office personnel in their absence\nOther duties as assigned\nWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\nRequired Experience\n2 Years in Logistics, Material Handling or Inventory Controls\nHigh School diploma\nBasic level Excel, Word\nPreferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nDetail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and improve processes\nTMS Enterprise Shipping System Web based App.\nGood verbal and written communication skills. \nDemonstrated understanding of warehouse management\nKnowledge of SAP\nAbility to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules or demands\nEducation & Certifications\nBachelor’s degree, preferred\nTravel & Working Environment\nOnsite\nManufacturing working environment and may be exposed to bad weather, excessive heat and/or noise\nHow we live our culture\nOur culture is at the center of what we do and, more importantly, who we are.
