You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze manufacturing processes, collect and evaluate production data, and assist in implementing improvements that support business objectives.This role provides exposure to manufacturing engineering principles, lean manufacturing techniques, and project management while working on real-world initiatives that drive measurable results.\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:\nManufacturing Engineering & Continuous Improvement\nConduct time studies and work measurement analyses to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and productivity.\nAssist in analyzing manufacturing processes, workflows, and material movement throughout the facility.\nSupport lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen events, and waste reduction projects.\nCollect, organize, and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvements.\nAssist with capacity analysis, labor utilization studies, and process optimization projects.\nParticipate in layout evaluations and workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency.\nDevelop and maintain standard work documentation, process maps, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nSupport root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to production issues.\nWork with operations, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams on continuous improvement initiatives.\nAssist in implementing manufacturing process improvements and monitoring project results.\nWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\nRequired Experience and Education\nStudent pursuing a Bachelor’s degree inManufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.\nCandidates must have completed their first year of studies.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. \nCumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.\nCompany will not provide sponsorship for position.
