Genfare welcomes you to discover the open opportunities on our team!\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking a motivated and curious Project Management & Implementation Intern with a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence to support our PM and Implementation (IMPL) teams. This role is designed for an undergraduate student studying AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, who is interested in understanding real-world project delivery processes and applying AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.\nThe intern will primarily observe, learn, and analyze existing PM and implementation workflows, templates, and procedures, and identify opportunities where AI tools or agents can enhance documentation, reporting, decision-making, and overall project quality.\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:\nLearn and observe Project Management and Implementation processes across multiple projects\nReview and understand existing templates, documentation, procedures, and tools used by the PM and IMPL teams\nAnalyze current workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or quality improvement opportunities\nResearch and propose ways AI can be leveraged to:Improve documentation quality and consistency\nAutomate repetitive tasks (reporting, status updates, checklists, etc.)\nEnhance project insights, risk identification, and data analysis\n\nAssist in the design, prototyping, or development of AI agents/tools to support PM and IMPL activities\nDocument findings, recommendations, and proof-of-concept solutions\nCollaborate with Project Managers, Implementation Managers, and technical teams to validate ideas and solutions\nWhat we are offering\nMentorship from experienced engineers\nReal-world project experience\nCompetitive internship compensation\nPotential for full-time offer\nWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\nRequired Qualifications:\nStrong interest in AI applications in business or operational processes\nBasic understanding of AI/ML concepts, automation tools, or prompt engineering\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to learn processes quickly and translate observations into actionable insights\nGood communication and documentation skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with AI tools (e.g., LLMs, workflow automation, agents, copilots)\nFamiliarity with project management concepts (coursework exposure is sufficient)\nExperience building small prototypes, scripts, or AI-based tools\nInterest in enterprise systems, software implementation, or operations\nEducation & Certifications\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field\nSPX Pay Transparency Statement\nWe recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As required by law in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
