As a Quality Engineer - Summer Intern 2027, you will support quality activities, documentation, internal audits, and corrective action efforts while working with a cross-functional team to prepare policies, processes, and procedures for the revised ISO 9001:2026 standard.\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:\nQuality Systems and DocumentationProvide support for the development and implementation of quality activities and procedures to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2026 standard.\nDevelop, revise, apply, and maintain quality procedures, quality plans, and related documents.\nSupport coordination of revisions to policies, processes, and procedures to meet the requirements of the revised ISO 9001 standard.\nCross-Functional Quality Projects\nWork with a cross-functional team to support quality system updates related to the revised ISO 9001 standard.\nCollaborate with personnel at Brentwood, Cuba, and Monroe City.\nAssist with ISO internal quality audits.\nRoot Cause and Corrective Action Support\nAssist teams with root cause analysis and development of corrective actions.\n• Support corrective action activities related to internal and external quality issues.\n\nWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\nRequired Experience\nNo prior experience required.\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nEffective human relations skills, including good listening ability and the capability to work well with others to implement change.\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent organizational and project management skills.\nAttention to detail.\nProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs.\nEducation & Certifications\nActively pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.\nNo certifications required.\nTravel & Working Environment\nHybrid role based in Brentwood, with collaboration with personnel at Brentwood, Cuba, and Monroe City.\nOccasional or seldom travel may be required; less than 10%.\nHow we live our culture\nOur culture is at the center of what we do and, more importantly, who we are.
