Our expertise in temperature-controlled logistics ensures products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time, helping customers maximise availability and minimise waste.\nWe are now looking to recruit for a Gatehouse Operative at our Telford site on a Full time and permanent position.\n Shift:\n4ON 4OFF DAYS - 6am - 6pm\nSalary:\n £25,445.42 per annum + £1,500 banked hours allowance & £1,000 attendance allowance \nTo provide site access control in a busy warehousing environment ensuring that all visitors, contractors and haulage drivers are controlled and thoroughly briefed upon entry to the site according to company policy.\nTo enhance the overall security of the site, the safeguarding of all company resources and assets and to contribute to the overall health and safety of all colleagues, visitors, guests, contractors and all in-board and out-board traffic.\nThis role requires a high level of attention to detail and involves regular use of computer systems to complete a range of administrative tasks accurately and efficiently. This role must therefore be proficient in the use of technology and computers.\nWelcoming and the booking in and out of all visitors, guests and contractors ensuring site safety briefs are conducted and recorded, including the issue of security passes.\nElectronically recording all in-board and out-bound vehicles into the main secure truck yard and directing to ensure the efficient movement of vehicles whilst on site.\nCarrying out a range of essential administrative tasks to ensure all essential and relevant checks are made in-line with the site procedures and deadlines.\nUnderstand all fire procedures and actions in the event of alarm activation.\nLiaising between emergency services and outside agencies in the event of an incident.\nTo act as a visual deterrence against potential criminal elements.Surveillance responsibilities\n\nTo report all incidents and occurrences through the chain of command when necessary.\nConducting safety conversations.In-bound responsibilities\n\nBriefing drivers on behaviour and expected standards when on site.\nGatehouse and access control monitoring.\nOut-bound responsibilities\nConducting vehicle and load checks. \nLiaising with other departments regarding load discrepancies.\nMonitoring temperatures on trailers.Administration/computer responsibilities\n\nConduct trailer audits.\nRegistering and logging vehicles leaving site.\nCheck vehicle loading manifests for changes.\nMake load amendments on system. \nGenerate driver paperwork.\n Smart, Polite and courteous personality\nPositive outlook to work and focussed on achieving targets\nAble to work quickly and efficiently\nAccurate and attentive to detail\nComputer literate\nAble to conduct foot patrols of the site and premises\nGood team player\nReliable, flexible, and willing to commit to the company\n As part of our drive to make Culina a great place to work, we are proud to be an inclusive and diverse organisation where we are committed to employee development and recognising success for hard working performers.\nOur dedicated learning and development programmes are open to every employee to give you the opportunity to shape your own future within logistics and continue to work in an environment where team culture thrives.\nOur people are the driving force behind our success, which is why we offer a wide range of benefits which include:\nAnnual Leave -
