We are recruiting dependable drivers to join our team in Poole. Experience is welcome but not essential-we are happy to invest in drivers who have the right attitude, are willing to learn and are committed to completing the required training.\nIn your role as a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be operating refrigerated articulated vehicles, delivering and collecting chilled stock from Local and Regional Distribution Centres as well as Farms and Packhouses across the UK.\nShift patterns available\n4 on 4 off Days (1pm start)\nThurs to Saturday Days (10am Start)\n4 on 4 off Nights (10pm Start)\nDue to the nature of the products being delivered, our drivers will have 3 hour start windows to ensure they are flexible depending on volume\nPay rates\nYou’ll be paid for the hours you work, with a minimum payment of 10 hours per shift. Enhanced rates apply for night hours, Saturdays and Sundays, and overtime is paid after 10 hours.\nMonday to Friday 04:00 - 20:00 - £16.91 per hour\nMonday to Friday 20:00 - 04:00 - £20.29 per hour\nSaturday 04:00 - 20:00 - £19.45 per hour\nSaturday 20:00 - 04:00 - £21.14 per hour\nSunday and Bank Holiday 04:00 - 20:00 - £20.29 per hour\nSunday and Bank Holiday 20:00 - 04: 00 - £21.98 per hour\nWhat you'll be doing:\nEnsure correct and thorough completion of paperwork\nObserve and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene\nMaintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department\nEffectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive\nAdhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times\nEnsure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure\nResponsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks\nEnsure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery\nAchieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business\nAny other duties as reasonably required\n Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence\nCurrent CPC\nKnowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.\nExcellent communication skills\nAbility to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.\nEffectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadline\n Please be aware Driving Assessments will be held out of our Portsmouth Depot so drivers must be able to attend assessments in Hilsea, Porstmouth\nIn return, we offer:\nFully funded CPC training that takes place on a paid working day\n‘Collision Free Year’ awards and associated yearly prize draws\nCoveted ‘Driver of the Year’ accolade -
