Our teams provide reliable, efficient and responsive services that help customers keep products moving and businesses growing.\n We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our depot in Carlisle to support our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.\nThe roles are part time, working on a permanent basis, with ideal shift patterns available on Days below:\nSaturday and Sunday\nShifts typically start between 05:00-07:00. We offer flexibility in shift patterns, so if these start dates and times don’t quite suit your availability, let us know what you’re looking for, we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences.\nPay Rates:\nWe have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £17.60 to £18.41 per hour, depending on shift - giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.\nSaturday and Sunday Day Shift - £17.60 per hour\nBank Holidays - £18.41 per hour.\nOn top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance\nDriver Responsibilities:\nGeneral Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores\nCollections from Stores to load out to Factories and Distribution Centres \nSupporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages\nCompleting all necessary vehicle checks and documentation\nMaintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism\nWorking closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations\nAdhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.\n You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers)\nNo more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.\nHold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.\nUnderstand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.\nAble to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.\nShould comply with on-site health and safety requirements.\nExcellent communication skills.\n As part of our drive to make Culina Transport, a great place to work.
