You will be supporting the Operational Management of the depot in maintaining and managing the assets, resources and facilities to maximise both cost efficiencies.\nWorking hours: Working a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off days, 6:00-18:00\nSalary: Up to £29,741 per annum\nKey Duties of an Operations Supervisor:\nActively demonstrating leadership qualities in the day to day running of shifts encouraging and coaching all staff\nMaintaining internal databases and where applicable, following up all defects with the Fleet Department\nAdministering the vehicle and trailer maintenance program\nCompleting all depot daily checks during shift and recording on the central system, (including trailers, returns, re-books, pallets)\nDirect contact with driver’s on daily performance and improvement actions\nProviding information and supporting the Operation’s Manager to enable the planning and management of depot payroll\nEnsuring all personnel files are up to date incorporating license validation, personal details and completed training\nCo-ordinating the recruitment and training of employees\nAssisting in accident investigation and follow up\nCompleting daily risk assessments of the yard and office\nIdentifying and informing the Operations Manager of any maintenance and repair issues in the site\nProviding information to the Senior Operation’s Supervisor & Transport Manager so that weekly KPI reports can be completed \n As an Operations Supervisor you will demonstrate a successful track record of leading and motivating a diverse team to achieve common goals.\nWe are looking for a supervisor with excellent communication skills, energetic leadership style and strong problem-solving abilities.\nPrevious experience working within a similar transport related role is essential, and you will have a good working knowledge of EU Hours, Working Time Directives and Tachograph legislation preferably with CPC National Qualification.\nPC literate, with knowledge of Excel spreadsheets\nAbility to work on their own initiative\nWillingness to resolve issues\n1 years’ experience in transport operations\n As part of our drive to make Stobart (Part of the Culina Group) a great place to work.
