Enabling growth.\n Life in this role\nAs part of our Contract division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Quality Supervisor at our Markham Vale site on a full time permanent basis.\nSalary: £35,000 per annum.\nWorking hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.\nAs a Quality Supervisor you will ensure the day to day running of the quality function and liaise closely with the site customers to ensure compliance with the business and site standards.\nYou will also ensure the effective implementation, administration, and enforcement of Environmental, Food Safety, and Quality policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and quality standard requirements. The role supports operational teams in maintaining high standards of compliance, product integrity, and continuous improvement across distribution activities.\nKey Duties of a Quality Supervisor:\nEffectively manage & motivate a team of people and drive them to be continuously audit ready.\nManage the day to day activities of the site ensuring the required standards are set.\nTo have day to day contact with our customer base as and when required including responding to customer queries and complaints.\nTo be involved in audits and customer visits and complete internal audits.\nCollation of data - this includes internal incidents, non-conformances, complaints etc.\nComplete complaint analysis and communication of KPIs both internally & externally.\nInstigate incident investigations, corrective and preventative actions.\nAnalyse and be involved in the continual improvement of processes including where required root cause analysis.\nSupport temperature control, storage, handling, and transport compliance, including review of excursions and trend analysis.\nAdhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations.\nAssist with internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits, including preparation, participation, and follow up actions.\nSupport risk based decision making through Quality Risk Management, including participation in risk assessments and reviews.\n What you’ll need ...\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify non-conformances and potential risks.\nEffective communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with operational teams, management, auditors, and customers.\nExperience of working within a quality assurance environment within a quality role, ideally with experience in Good Distribution Practice, ISO 9001 or BRCGS.\nMinimum 2 years quality experience including an understanding of quality management systems including electronic quality management systems.\nExperience of managing a team, whilst fostering an open and collaborative culture, listening and encouraging new ideas from others.\nAbility to plan, organise and prioritise tasks working to strict deadlines for your own workload.\nAbility to work under pressure both as part of a team and on own initiative.\nAbility to work within a cross-functional department which operates across multiple sites.\n What is in it for you?\nIf you're looking for a role where you can make an impact, develop your career, and be part of a team that works as one to achieve great results, we'd love to hear from you.
