Our expertise in temperature-controlled logistics ensures products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time, helping customers maximise availability and minimise waste.\n Life in this role \nAs part of our, Chilled & Fresh division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Supervisor\nSalary: £38,957.28 per annum\nShift: 4 on 3 off, 19:00pm-07:00am\nTo be responsible for leading the day traffic operations team and driver team in ensuring the planning of Company and / or Third Party resources, managing vehicle utilisation and ensuring Drivers are given clear and precise instructions. To ensure that all service levels are met cost effectively and within the constraints of the driver’s hours and Health and Safety regulations.\nKey Duties of a Transport Supervisor:\nTo ensure that all elements of the job are communicated effectively to all personnel especially drivers and sub-contractors.\nTo plan the effective utilisation of drivers, vehicles, sub-contractors and agency drivers and ensuring that all the companies’ sites are considered when doing so.\nTo ensure that people under your control work within a safe environment and follow drivers hours regulations when driving.\nClose liaison with fellow team members and management to discuss efficiencies and agreed operational practises.\nAssist in the control of equipment ensuring that customer requirements are met and recorded.\nTo monitor RDC performances.\nAssist in the Management of the balance between own fleet and sub contract requirements.\nSupport and if necessary covering the Operations Manager in meetings or customer reviews.\nEnsure that all vehicle and trailer services are completed on time.\nTo ensure ESP completed daily and all trips fully resourced on a daily basis.\n What you’ll need ...\nLGV driving licence is desirable \nExperience of fleet maintenance\nKnowledge and experience of FMCG environment\nCurrent CPC would be advantageous \nExperience of vehicle servicing and maintenance within a similar environment\nGood knowledge of vehicle mechanics\nThoroughness/attention to detail\nAble to work effectively in a team\nGood communication skills\n What is in it for you?\nIf you're looking for a role where you can make an impact, develop your career, and be part of a team that works as one to achieve great results, we'd love to hear from you.\nSalary Sacrifice Car Scheme - our salary sacrifice scheme offers a cost-effective way to drive an electric vehicle, with payments taken directly from your salary.
