Customer centric service focus is delivered through a site-level empowered culture.\nAt Culina we have a winning culture, we believe that our culture is one of the reasons our company continues to thrive… A place where you're valued, challenged, and inspired!\n Our friendly team in Chorley have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join their team on a full time permanent basis.\nAs a Shift Supervisor you will support the Shift Managers in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring that all service and cost targets are met or exceeded, that all Health & Safety requirements are met and that the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained.\nSalary: £30,000 per annum.\nWorking hours: Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm with flexibility to cover rotation when required.\nKey Duties of a Shift Supervisor:\nAssist the Shift Manager in co-ordinating any issues within the warehouse.\nEffective accident/incident investigations knowledge \nScheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the warehouse staff.\nEnsuring the proper and timely completion of all warehouse activities.\nCommunicate plans with the Operations Controllers to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.\nEnsure compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures.\nKeep and maintain records of team performance against plans and to advise the Shift Manager of factors that may disrupt operations which cannot be resolved by the team.\nAssist in the organisation of training and development for warehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching, and to evaluate training effectiveness in terms of improved individual and team performance and the maximum flexibility of team members.\nTo offer regular feedback, formal and informal, on team and individual performance, including behavioural issues and highlighting good performance and areas for further development.\nAssist the Shift Manager in controlling levels of planned and unplanned absence and take appropriate action to ensure cover, as necessary, and manage reductions of unacceptable levels.\nParticipate as an active member of the management team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer and quality focus and team working.\n Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.\nMust be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.\nAble to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of on-site systems.\nPC Literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.\nAbility to efficiently lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep staff motivated.\nExcellent time management skills and problem solving skills.\nStrong interpersonal, conciliation skills and the capacity to network with suppliers and customers.\nWorking knowledge of SAP, PKMS, Road Runner would be useful but not essential.\nKnowledge of the WMS Autostore would be useful but not essential\n As part of our drive to make Great Bear a great place to work, we are proud to be an inclusive and diverse organisation where we are committed to employee development and recognising success for hard working performers.\nOur dedicated learning and development programmes are open to every employee to give you the opportunity to shape your own future within logistics and continue to work in an environment where team culture thrives.\nOur people are the driving force behind our success, which is why we offer a wide range of benefits which include:\nCompetitive Annual Leave.\nPension scheme -
